I've created an advanced version of the hg player market which takes the page at hgweb.org/info/marketlist.html and stores it into a database for search capabilities. Features include: search the market based on item, seller, and price range watch items you are bidding on watch items you have in the market and unsold items see when new items are put into the market keeps track of how many bids have been placed on an item based on price change Upcoming features: notifications of when an item you want is put into the market searchable player trades lists with notifications of when someone posts an item you want RSS feeds ideas and constructive criticism welcome. if there's a feature you want added or find errors let me know www.adjroth.com/hgplayermarket/the site is hosted on my home servers, so uptime may not be 100% ... or even 90% but i try to keep the servers up as much as possible

That's pretty sweet, I'll see about adding some linkage somewhere, or maybe you could collaborate with yomi. The banner is a touch out of date, now, though. Funky

Thanks funky. Yeah, the banner is a bit '90s, but something had to go there .. not much of a designer.

Updates: Fixed a couple bugs, priced items weren't being deleted from the database once they were removed or bought. Trades lists are up and searchable. (you need an account to setup your trades list)
I'm currently working on the trades list notifications, will hopefully have this done within the next few days.

Yeah, I LOVE the facelift every area's gotten. Leveling a new character now and every time I step into a new map, it's a "whoa, that's a lot nicer" reaction. Even at the Strange Tower. One downside, of course... the town map takes significantly longer to load! I think it might be that giant glowy tree...

btw, I'm trying to get some sort of method worked out for trades list notifications, right now my two options are:
1) Send an e-mail every n days with an overview of items in the database that match any item you've posted in your "want" list.
2) Create a script that will log into the forums and send you a message each time an item you're looking for is posted. (of course with permission from HG admins, I don't want to use up costly bandwidth if it can be avoided)
Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

When someone logs into your site, I would get email information from them, and then use something internal to your own system for emailing the user that the item is available instead of making a post to the forums. This would be less difficult to accomplish. -Ill

In most cases that would be true, but the server cant use sendmail since the server is in my home and the ISP blocks port 25. Although I could create a script to act as an email client on an alternate port, but using a cURL class which I've already made only takes about 30 minutes to setup to post data to forums.
I'll probably end up going with e-mail anyway so I won't be using up the forum's bandwidth.

Not sure where you folks want this, but I have a character some years old though I didn't do alot of playing. Even though then you could take " Undying " as a subrace from the start, without any need for a book or a flag on the bic file. I have been playing this character for a bit and made level 19 though I hear to be an Undying it takes a grand character, even though I built this character before books were needed [ or started ] before books were needed. Is there any way I can keep the Undying on my currently used character [ yes I do plan to reincarate him once I reach 21 ] because it was a solid concern when he was originally created.
my sign on is; - lestat -
character name is; GHö§T
I really would like to reincarnate him as an Undying and possibly concentrate towards archer.
Another concern, what would it take to incorporate a solid vampire / lycan package to use those subraces. Maybe my Vamp/Lycan [ Nightspawn ] system would work out for you.
I am a fair to above average builder/scripter who is the co-creator of the Adventure Realms group of servers and I have submitted content to the NWNVault sence before there was any CEP. I would be very willing to help out in anyway I can if desired.

First, welcome to the forums!
You can't use a subrace you don't have a tag for, whether or not you had previously used the name of a race. You can still use it, if you alter it in some way, however - for example, 'Undying', you could modify to 'The Undying' (changing case alone is not enough).
As for adding vamp scripts, even setting aside issues of overhead, there would be too many balance issues with most, especially since the world was not set up with them in mind. And it'd clash with our current subrace setup.
If you'd like to contribute, you're more than welcome to, though we prefer to handle most scripting ourselves. Becoming a member of the dev team requires demonstrable commitment to the server, though, as well as understanding of our mindset. Stick around for a while, and it's a possibility.
In the future, please post in an appropriate thread, or make your own. Nothing in your post related even remotely to the player market. I'll be deleting this once you respond to it, and quoting the post in a new thread.
Best, Funky

Sory for the wrong location. I just didn't see a place to post a well sorta request / question. I understand not having the tag and hope to someday be able to use the subrace originally created on the character. Maybe when I reincarnate it won't be used so then no more concern. Thanks for the reply.
