There is something about this spell that absolutely murders my game. For each time my toon is hit with this spell, it lowers my frame rate a little bit until I I have to relog because I just cannot play anymore because things are moving to slow. It seems like the blue flash this spell makes on hit is the problem, in addition in beholders each time I hit a trap there I see a blue aura on my toon that causes slow down as well. I have tried running my game with !opt vfx off, lowest settings, sound off, floaty text off, combat log off and nothing seems to help. Is there something I could disable to prevent this from happening?

Try putting a file named vim_magblue.mdl in your override directory with the following contents:
newmodel vim_magblue setsupermodel vim_magblue NULL classification EFFECT setanimationscale 1.0 beginmodelgeom vim_magblue node dummy vim_magblue parent NULL endnode endmodelgeom vim_magblue donemodel vim_magblue

Wow Thanks for the rapid and detailed reply. So do I make a text file and call it vim_magblue.mdl and that info to it? Or do I need to get something?

Just a straight text file named vim_magblue.mdl with those contents should work.

Thankyou very much Acaos, Hopefully this will improve future Beholders runs dramatically (I usually have to relog several times to clear gfx lag).
