what? but that means a pixie with a dagger would be as good at disarming a pitfiend as a troll with a mercurial greatsword! It's not the size of the ship, but the motion of the ocean. We might bring size modifiers back in some form, but we'd like to get a baseline first. Acaos

Think of it this way Mighty...
The greatsword would sever the whole hand.
The dagger would sever the tendons which allow you to grip it.

Here's how a critical hit happens: You roll a d20 (we'll call the result X) and add your AB. If the result is equal to or greater than the creature's AC and X is within your threat range (which is the '17-20' part of '17-20/x2'), then you 'threaten' a critical. When you threaten a critical, it must be confirmed. You roll another d20 (let's call that Y) and add your AB again. The result must be equal to or greater than your target's AC, and a natural 20 on this roll does NOT confirm a critical if it's not sufficient to hit your target. Power Critical adds 4 to Y, and Superior Critical adds another 6 to Y (for a total of +10 to Y). Acaos Was this added with latest update? i know for fact that in general NWN "double 20" where X & Y are 20, hitter scores a critical if target isnt immune. I'm also sure that i've been critted on HG with double 20s where enemies best ab +20 is 80 less than my ac (even 50 less than my flanked ac) Thou it'd make sence if the powercrit feats are added to Y, instead of ab on those hits. I mean directly added to Y would mean 55% of threat rolls would roll 20 (or higher) for natural crit if hitter had both feats. If this is the case, I thank you for that chance, it'll make high ac tanks crit immune while not being flanked. (I once failed sissy run cus Zhedi rolled double 20 with that silly 70+ DC dev crit, which caused me to die and taggers autofugue before my demi heal.)

I'll double-check the engine to be sure. Acaos

I'll double-check the engine to be sure. Just want to let you know that I checked the engine and there's no check for a natural 20 in there. A natural 20 does not automatically confirm a critical if it won't hit your AC. Also, during last night's Elysium run (Blink Dogs do not have Power or Superior Critical so that 20 was a natural 20): Of course, this guy is a bit meaner...: Acaos

Nope, its still giving me the message, sorry. I don't get online as much as I'd like at the minute so my testing would be sporadic to put it mildly. I'll grab your character and do some testing on the dev server tomorrow. Thanks, Acaos Yaay he's fixed, thanks for the expert problem solving.
