I agree that size is an issue with dragon tanks and admit a little hesitance to building one for that very reason.
That said, I'm not sure an extra feat on a feat-tight build is the best solution. Meaning: it may not be enough to entice me to build one.
Perhaps a "dragonoid" form instead? One that uses the bipedal xDD model?
You could balance it by reducing elemental damage in exchange for melee benefits (i.e. better AC, AB, Crit imm., etc) and it to the dragonform menu. You could also tie it to Druid (or Rgr) level to limit it's availability.
Just thinking out loud -- like I said, I agree that size is an impediment to the build, just not sure the best way to solve the problem.
