I need help gearing my str monk, I like to start collecting his 60 gear while I am leveling, and here is what I came up with so far...
On-Hand: Dis Quarterstaff Off-Hand: None Armor: Dim Mak Robes (Dex/Wis, Ele /-'s) Helmet: Cloak: Bracers: Boots: Amulet: Strongheart (AC) Belt:
Help with this please so I know what to look out for? Need some exotic /-'s and physical /-'s as well as %'s and 14 to all stats. How can I set this up to be very survivable?

It's hard to say because there's such a good variety of gear on HG and then you have randomizations. My suggestions: 1) Grab as many BURs as you can and sort it out later - you'll want 20/- exotics and 40/- regular elements at the very least and, obviously, +14 on your key stats. Don't forget about your skills too (i.e. listen, cw/ca, discipline, etc.) ... hells penalties can really mess with them. 2) Grab as many augmenters as you can - they're not always in high demand and can be very helpful in salvaging gear with poor randomization 3) If you're not sure, ask your party which items are high value - even if you can't use em you can still trade em And most importantly: 4) Always build to want you have, not what you need; some gear is in such high demand, it may take you a long time to acquire it imho of course

I totally agree with Tomaan's first and fourth points. I've got characters using gloves and ammys for physical resists. It depends on what gear you can find and grab on the loot roll.
My paragon pally was using a level 38 helmet to fill in the one thing he was missing. At least until it got slagged and I decided it wasn't worth repairing.
In my first Asmo battle I wore the Greater Belt of Guiding Light because it had what I needed.
Tomaan's other two points aren't bad either.

Agreed with all of course but wanted to add-- Also on #2, augs are very nice not only for repairing (salvaging was a better word) random'd items but also for improving even ones that aren't bad. Don't forget you can use augs to bump attribute bonuses up to +14 to finish off any holes in your setup. Sometimes you get everything but +14 to whatever and, well of course this only works if it's un-auged to begin with, but anyway...

Minor addend to Chirality: The +14 is only applicable for BUR items.
