Virus cleansing, routing resetting, registry fixing, reinstalling....and still HG is constantly out of sync for me and then it just crashes. Especially during 60+ runs. Lowbys it generally does fine. The game worked fine on the same machine since I bought it. Sometimes turning off hgx seems to help but that could just be a coincidence. I read somewhere about going into the init file and doing some disabling core cross threading something or other I dunno.
Quite a few people seem to be having a similar problem. Is there a definitive solution?
I had to reinstall NWN totally new again. It worked all for me. Win XP. - Installed Diamond NWN from GOG. That includes the 1.69 Critical Rebuild. If you use another install, I would run that file after the NWN install (NWN + both expansions). English install. - Then: Installed CEP 2.3 (Hak into HAK, tlk into tlk). I've downloaded that from Werehound Silverfang (werehound) Signature link - Then: ARF2 download and Run: dl.hgweb.org/arf/arf2.zip - Mark option in ARF2 for modified exe and HG enhanced - Changed in the nwn.ini: [Display Options] AllowWindowedMode=1 - Changed in the nwnplayer.ini: [Game Options] ClientEntireChatWindowLogging=1
That worked for me. I can zooooom.
IDONT run HGX because of crashes (but maybe the current version would do, I have not tested it) Antivirus: MS Security Essentials Grafics Card: NVidia GeForce (320.49 Driver == newest) I direct connect to HG: Shortcut with "C:\Neverwinter Nights\nwmain.exe" +connect 18.104.22.168:5121 for server 1 and so on. (No other program like ARF or Corssroads)
I dont think HGX is the issue here, I know alot of ppl using it including myelf, and I don't got this problem. I do run it on my Imac, windows 7 mode, and I can also run two accounts without lag/crash.
