Perhaps as a rule, every criticism must be paired with a specific suggestion on how to fix the problem? So as to avoid nonsense like you see in the arrogance and paragons thread.

Another forum I frequent frowns double/consecutive posting.
But indeed it really should go: 1 - Opinion (That won't work / that creates this issue) 2 - Suggestion (This could be done instead)
It's usually pointless to try to convince someone who isn't open to it.

Taken straight from critical theory! ME LIKEY. I wish everyone would do this, but the converse is sort of human nature, even with the most well-meaning. Rather than a rule, I would view it as an aspirational goal - something to weigh the quality of posts by. It certainly factors into how much attention I give posts. Funky
