The yuan-ti looks, good, I can put that in. The nyph would only make it as a secret subrace, the CHR bonus is too high. As to the half-elf/wings thing, that shouldnt make any difference whatsoever, in fact I couldve added them to ny of the subraces had I been so inclined. The subrace system was not functioning for new subraces the opther day, for an as-yet-undetermined reason. I suspect NWNX, on which it depends, had shut down or malfunction for some reason, though I cvouldnt verify that. In any case, a reset fixed it, no harm done. Give it another shot. And if a subrace isnt working for some reason, try asking for a dm, first in dm channel, and then in shout if you get no response (you might've done that, no idea). Best, Funky

But. . . but. . . Okay, I'll detail exactly what I did. Was making a wood elf. Made sure I was an elf. Typed everything out properly, Elf - Wood Elf. Logged in. Wings, but no subrace. Exited, opened extender and all again. Tried JUST Wood Elf. Did this back and forth several times, until Ligg opted to make a Wood Elf just to see if I was insane. I told him to try it with wings, he said okay. Came back without wings because he explained that he deleted his Extender and just forgot, but nonetheless, the Wood Elf was working. So, suspicious, I completely exited NWN and tried it again without wings. It worked.. How asfwet235432. -Cry- I am not insane! It's true! IT HAPPENENENEND. What? I swear. I don't know if it'll do it again now, but I don't see why it wouldn't. Anyway, enough unintelligent whining and babbling. Human - Broken One +2 Str +1 Con -3 Int Broken Ones are these weird mutant-people that are half-animal or something. They were supposedly subjected to odd experiments. They retain some human qualities, but all in all look feral. Like if it was part rat, it might have big talons and teeth and whiskers and be all hunchbacked and weird. They're really not supposed to be hugely dumb, and they're supposed to have good HP, so it might be better to shift the penalties somewhere else or spread them out with Wis or Cha, because they're really ugly. And instead of Dex give Con. Your choice. Just giving options. I'm too indecisive for this.

It's entirely possible that starting the character in extender may prevent leto from writing to the file, or even accessing it when it needs to. As an experiment, you could try creating a character with a subrace in extender, dealing with the fafct that your subrace bonuses aren't applied till next reset (or playing another character till then), and seeing if the bonuses will apply then. That could work, really don't know. Just fyi, some of the subraces in the works will have tails annd such added when the stats are chasnged, and possibly theirt entire appearance anged (eg pixie).

It'd be pretty neat if we could play as Illithid and hover around like the guy in Hob mines does. That'd be awesomefsdsdfdsf! Make Illy wizards and be all like "My dominate is bigger than your dominate" when you kill him.
Or not.

Half-Halflings? Let's see, that would make them what, Quarterlings? Or Three-Fourthlings?

I believe they are referred to as pixies, fey, and 'little buggers'.

The original subrace script applied the pixie bonuses for two entries in the subrace field: "pixie", or "farie bitch", if it helps to settle the debate. Oh, and speaking of pixies...theyre in the next update, under ...oops, they're a secret subrace. But theyre in there, along with 35, countem 35!! other NEW subraces. Archmage and I had a long conference call tonight and finalized em. Secret subraces will reward dedicated players able to unconver the 'names' (coded, a waste of time guessing) with above-average bonuses and abilities. As always, we tried to keep things reletively balanced, with the aim of allowing new and different class combos. And yes, many of the subraces suggested here were included, in one form or another - keep your eyes peeled for yuan-ti, half-dryads, and many other. I should also add that as of August 3, this subrace package is posted on the vault, averaging about 10 downloads a day: nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=scripts.Detail&id=2739When I update it these subraces will be included, so by contributing here you are also contributing to the gaming community at large. See you in game, Funky

Hi,
Under subraces, both Orc and Deep Orc are listed as being given a bonus feat of Darkvision. However, they are both sub-races of Half-Orc which already has this feat.
I'm sure they were balanced with that bonus feat in mind, so perhaps it should be replaced with Toughness or something else.
Dave.

Updated the subrace board for the next update, which will release as soon as DS incorporates out db into theirs. Sent you an email with the changes to make to your excellent chart. On an unrelated note, I received a lot of suibrace suggestions ingame, but would lke to see them here, with stats suggestions included. Best, Funky

Subrace suggestion #1:
Thri-Kreen ...some arachnoid model, maybe scorpion-man +4 Dex, -2 Int, +2 Wis, -4 Cha Faster Movement Alertness Feat +3 AC bonus Immune to Sleep Deflect Arrows feat Use Poison as Blackguard/Assassin
(Based on Dark Sun 3rd Ed.)

Now that sounds like an interesting subrace! Would have to be secret, but very interesting, a high dex build with an INT penalty for a change. I think were hosed on the appreance tho, the formians dont look much like a thri-kreen. I'll see what I can do, will go in with minos and illithids at some point hopefully soon. Funky

Now that sounds like an interesting subrace! Would have to be secret, but very interesting, a high dex build with an INT penalty for a change. I agree, very interesting, though since Thr-Kreen focus (in DnD) have always been big on multiple attacks from their extra arms I would sub-race them off Humans and list their abilities as: +4 Dex, -2 Int, +2 Wis, -4 Cha +30% Move, Bonus Feats: Armor Skin, Ambidexterity, 2W Fighting Sleep Immune if you want it too, but that hardly seems necessary. This is the same amout of feats you have for yours (if you count your ac bonus as a feet). Since this race would be a natural for a monk, the Deflect Arrows feat hardly seems necessary, the extra melee attacks seems more in tune IMO. I don't remember all thri-kreen as being able to deflect, those with monk or who took their human bonus feat as deflect could (though I do remember *all* thri-kree as having extra attacks. Great race idea Terragen! I think they look close enough, they are just bent over on their bottom hands is all. They certainly are the closest to ThriKreen in NWN that I've seen. Better that than some human/elf thing IMO. Dave.

I based it (read: stole) totally on Dark Sun 3rd Ed, I was bored at work and surfing the net. So the Deflect Arrows comes from that source, as does the poison idea... I'll never find the damn secret anyways, but its a cool idea...

Hi, How about Lizardfolk? Pretty much right out of the 3.5 book (Sub-Race of Human): +2 Str, +2 Con, -2 Int, -2 Cha Breathes Water There's even a NWN model/character/image for them . Dave.
