The in-game descritpion says that this spell does (at least for heralds) electric damage. It clearly does not, probably a typo (and this report belongs to documentation report section), but... The spell does (CL/8)d6 per round. That HAS to be an oversight. Compared to other cloud-type spells - (CL)d6 for Acid Fog, (CL)d6+CL for Static Field, (CL)d8 for Storm of Vengeance and Incendiary Cloud - Freezing Fog damage is especially pathetic. Herald version is even worse, the damage is split, half is cold, half magic, so it does even less damage, but twice as much kickback. Can the damage dice be brought to a competitive level please? I would ask that heralds not split it in cold/magic (and same for Static Field), but can't have all at once

i always assumed the pathetic dmg calc was because, well, cold. kinda like how acid spells suck and are conj.
aside from freezing fog sucking, yeah herald split damage needs to go away. been whining about it for years but it really is garbage.
