On the sign as you enter at the docks it describes Secret Subraces as requiring a "marker" that is earned / found durring gameplay. I have no experience with subraces, and for the regular subraces the sign indicates that you must make the selection durring char creation.
My question is then if your char does not take a subrace at creation but waits to find a Secret Subrace later in that chars development is it too late for that char. Do you have to create a new char to use the Secret subrace once found, or can you "add" the secret subrace to the char that found it?
Also is it possible to copy the sign Subrace Instructions and List here, to the BB, so they can be read/printed out of game?
TIA

It is too late for that character. But then your player name will be tagged as being valid for that subrace. There is a chart Ralkain made here on the forums for players to review the subraces and their abilities out of game, and I must say its very well done. I forget exactly what thread its in, but its here. If you have further questions, hit me up in game. Chances are any of the other regulars can help you as well. A good thing to note though, is just knowing the code isnt enough, you have to find it yourself in order for the subrace to function properly.

Thanks for the compliment Archmage, the chart is in thread: highergroundpoa.proboards3.com/index.cgi?board=Tavern&action=display&n=1&thread=2588&page=1, but that's not why I responded to this. Now this is why I responded . Now that sub-races are tagged, is there any point having a secret code? They kind of mess up your character display and increase the chance that all your classes won't fit/be shown. It seems to me now that they are taged by Acct/Key, that you could just enter "Humanoid - Pixie" now instead of putting in a secret code. Of course the chart would still have to mark it as a secret or tagged race, but the code seems overkill at this time (I know it used to be necessary). Dave.

I almost took the codes out last update. As the subrace board notes, there is precious little reason to have them now. There are, however, some lingering issues that will have to be resolved via use of SetSubrace on any character with the old codes. I need to have another look through the system to make certain that that is ALL that needs to be done (the system also inserts markers on your character's 'lootable' and 'tag' fields though players cannot see or interact with these fields at all). Once that's done, and I update the system to the newest version of Letoscript, the old codes will be taken out.
