I would have to say that I like the secret subraces the way they are now. I *like* finding things in game and not just paying for them with money - because then the encouragement is to mindlessly harvest gold, and not to wander around looking for things, or to be social and ASK people how to do it. That is how I found out how to get most of them, after all...
And now I have like 8, and have traded away two minotaur books and still have a third.

i don't think it's a good idea to buy secrets subraces .I think the way they are set now it's perfect .For an average player,it's just to be there at the right moment to get on the ssith run ,the rest goes on luck, the loot split and having a good party who will beable to make it to the end.Personnaly i think putting a price on them would remove the fun of triing getting them .
If finnaly u decide to sell them i wish it will be an exorbitting price and only one race by account not for a mount but for life .Even in that way i'm sure Ascension will become a ghostly city due to the number of wraith we will see.

I may add some subraces, new or old, as rares and URs now that random loot is in, it seems like the perfect answer, allowing anyone a chance to find one, while keeping them relatively rare. Gonna have to figure out whether there are any gaps in our subraces, but I think someoine posted a ton of subraces recently... Funky

I have to disagree. The way that you haven't mentioned is an in game economy. Personally, I think we need MORE of an encouragement for the in game economy...I know I have a whole bunch of nice things I can't give away but can't trade. This becomes relevant for subraces, when you realize that I've traded away two subrace books already for things I didn't have yet. And when nothing else can be done, it is ALWAYS fun to get a group or two and go get lost in the place where the subraces are looking for what you need to go get them. That is why I am against setting subraces up as rares or ultra rares...because I don't know about you, but when I go to the place where the subraces are gotten I'm pretty much always the ONLY person there.

As for stimulating player trade, there will be a buy/trade bazaar as soon as 1.67 comes out. Funky
