thoughts on making the rages swift actions or combining them all into one rage or something similar

Either that or increase the duration of greater rage closer to that of Mighty Rage, either option would help. Barbs kinda plagued by clunkiness in weapons, rages, shapestrong. I don't think barbs should get any power; but the playing experience is quite dreadful.

Consolidate all rages into one, adjust the scaling of it to be a big longer, and it just applies whatever rages the barbarian qualifies for.

That seems like more work than just increasing greater rage's duration or making it instant cast to attain similar effect? Mighty Rage lasts pretty much until you die or party rests, its greater rage you're constantly rebuffing.
Edit: the greater rage duration also affects Pariahs, so if that is wanted then duration is the perfect solution; else, could also tie it to CC Barb (so barbs/ barb pariahs), or some other solution. Just something to keep in mind. I'll also add that I don't think that rage duration / rebuffing headache is a very good way of balancing pariah/barbarians as classes; it's just a great pain in the bum further amplified by unlucky 1 rolls. Numbers and effects do a better job than rage duration/amount, imo - but that's a general design philosophy decision.

They definitely need more, for sure. Quick action or one rage for all which gets extra whatever based off feats is more just to make it a less cumbersome. Definitely agree more is needed.
