Hey All, I think I found an issue (maybe two) when a stone of rebirth in my inventory activates. (I only ever have one at a time, if any) i find myself unable to re-dominate the animal I had been controlling, even though I get the note "Animal Empathy Success". The animal just stands there as if there is no connection, even after the "success" notification. It does not show up under my portrait, or obey my commands nor show the choice to release it from domination. Basically, the animal empathy attempt fails in spite of succeeding on the roll. Perhaps the animal is still tagged as dominated, even though it was released on your death? I have not tried dominating other animals. Separately, I think my bags of holding start acting a little wonky. I can open them and explicitly place items in that space in the top panel, but I no longer seem to be able to drag items over the bag to drop the item in, even if the bag has space. I am not sure if this only happens after being resurrected by a stone of rebirth, but I recall having the same issue, the last time I was resurrected that way.

About the bag issue, were the items you were trying to drag into the closed recently equipped? If they were, that is the reason you were unable to drag them into the closed bag.

Anytime Animal Empathy is broken through death or other mishap, grab a missile weapon, go far away and start shooting them. When you hit them, they'll turn hostile and you can then re-dominate them. The tougher they are compared to you, the farther away you'll want to be... especially if soloing or hardcore or both.

Well, I am about to make another run where I will probably be killed, so I will test what items cannot be dropped into the bags.

I think I will avoid angering my rather powerful pet, though, and just struggle on, on my own.

The bag issue was not from dying and being reborn via the stone of rebirth. I have found that it is an issue when I am facing lag.
As for the bug where animal empathy breaks and cannot be re-established after dying and being reborn, I did find a workaround: Don't die. ;-)

Remember, there are multiple servers. If you lose the pet, the only reason to remain on the same server is for quest turn in, which specifically means you already have the turn in item. You can acquire the quest on one server, and fulfill on another as long as you hadn't gotten the object yet.
All that said, you can just server hop and re-acquire the pet if it isn't in someone else's possession or despawned.

It just takes a bit of time. This is definitely the case with Oltum.
