I'm new to Higher Ground and have been playing on the server for several days. I have to admit that it's the best persistant world i've played for NWN. I've noticed, however, that there doesn't seem to be a Day/Night time cycle. Is this intentional or is it because the way the server is set up, time cannot progress? One of the greatest things about RPG's, especially MMO's is the time cycle. Evil characters and those races with enhanced vision use the night more to their advantage, while other characters may prefer the day. Besides that, seeing a sunset/sunrise is a nice + in any game. When are PVP tournaments held? Is there some signpost in Ascension that shows the schedule? Another, more trivial question I have is; what does "local vault characters not allowed" (paraphrased) mean? I couldn't log on last night at all because of this problem.

The day/night cycle halts when the server is extremely busy, because it's a low priority to the engine. It will run normally most of the time, but may also be slower than the cycle on whatever server or mod you've played recently. As for the error you got last night, that was caused by a file system error, now fixed. Welcome to the server! Funky
