Edit: ****** This issue only occurs if you put an enzyme sac (and/or, presumably, a Myco puff ball and PoM key, though I have not tested them) in a transfer chest ******
I wanted to raise the possibility of removing the server locks on various keys/passes in the legendary levels.
Hive enzyme sacks and Myconid spores (and Pit of Moliation keys, although that is less of an issue) only work on the server where they were obtained, up until reset. There might be others (I haven't tested the Ilithid rods or Loca's shells) This means we cannot take the run in pieces. Could we remove the server locks? (a la the Grodtk in Rona or Drow sithyrrs or the runes in Dustbone) As is, when I solo these runs, shackled, I'm forced to commit at least a couple hours which really limits playable opportunities.
I think that removing the server locks would not have any negative impact. These runs are free rest runs, which means you are not undermining some planar ring limitation. It would allow players to enjoy mor of HG.

All the keys you mentioned do continue to work if they are not placed in a bankchest.

All the keys you mentioned do continue to work if they are not placed in a bankchest. I do not remember chesting them, but I will give it a try. Thanks!! Edit (after chainlink): I mean I will try not chesting them.

I'm sorry but you are presenting incorrect information which just confuses matters, Myco keys definitely work but they all look exactly the same its impossible to tell which you actually have and what they open.
DB is not saying that putting them in a chest will magically fix them, he is just saying that your statement is incorrect with respect to the items you mention.

I meant I will give a try with hive while not putting them in a chest. ie. I will run the ants, get the enzyme sac, and then try finishing the run on another day (on some other server or after the server reboots)
(I’ll also confirm what happens with the enzyme sac that I do have in a chest)

I am not current, but DB runes didn't used to lock.

Yeah. DB Runes work even after being put in a chest. It is the Hive enzyme sacs and myco puff ball fungi things (and PoM final boss keys) that seemed to fail. I am experimenting. I got the ant enzyme sac today and will keep it in my inventory (ie. I won't put it in a chest) to see if it works in a couple days.

Thanks, DB, I can confirm that the enzyme sacs work if you do not chest them.
I got an enzyme sac over 24 hours ago and it worked fine, now. However, an earlier enzyme sac that I had put in a chest no longer worked (I tried it on every blocked entry way, even cesspool, just in case I mistook which one it was) That has been my issue. *sigh* all these aborted runs. Anybody want enzyme sacs, PoM keys or puff balls for their trophy cases?

I'm glad I have this info (so, thanks!), but I will miss my glorious pile of enzyme sacs.

If you continue to do both paths in Myco you can build a nice big pile of spores to replace all your enzyme sacs

Maybe I should give up the adventurin' life and open a restaurant in Ascension using exotic ingredients for flavors you won't get elsewhere....
