After perusing the Grimoire, nwnwiki and Bioware forums, I haven't been able to find an answer to this question: What is the calculation for DC for Crippling Strike? I haven't taken the feat before because in a conversation on HG, another player told me the DC was too low to make it worth taking. Would someone who knows be so kind as to clarify this for me? Thanks!

there is NO DC FOR THIS FEAT...... i play pvp for somtime and there is no imm to lvldrain or state drain on item in that sever so this feat was a bane of all st build since it decrease ur st by 2 each hit... and because of that it reduce ur ab and dc for dev crit. but i have to say it is useless on HG since boss or sub boss (or any long battle) always is imm to lvl/state drain and other fight is too short for this feat to be useful.

Actually, no creatures in the illithids are immune, except for constructs I think, and I believe I left it off the ssithraks and desert creatures as well. I'm planning to remove it from every creature that has it and shouldn't logically, in the long run. Funky

LOL, i misinterpreted the description to that feat, i thought it added 2 points of damage to the attack. now i feel as I missed out on something big.

Swifty has it. I wouldn't lose sleep about missing out. The biggest threats for me are archers and casters, where Crippling Strike wouldn't do anything. Call me when it does con drain.

With the few rogue special feats you will be getting I think crippling strike would be a waste. There are to many other good feats you can take. (lvls a rogue can choose the feat)
Improved Evasion: A must have and a good reason to take 10 lvls of rogue (lvl 10) Defensive Roll: Prereq for epic dodge (lvl 13) Skill Mastery: When you need to pop a chest during combat so the spellcaster doesn't blow it up (lvl 16) Slippery Mind. Always helps to have 1 more chance to make a save (lvl 19) or Opportunist: With the low ab of a rogue nothing helps more than +4 for attack of opp against a monster (lvl 19)
After this your getting into epic rogue feats, improved sneak, epic dodge epic skill mastery ect, ect, ect. This leaves little room for crippling strike unless you have no other choice to take it. Its not about DC its about better feats to take instead. Just some thoughts Calad

Greetings,
I would add that unless you are going straight rogue or at least 19 lvls of rogue pre-21st lvl, then, First and second rogue feats = Imp. Evade and Def.Roll 3rd and 4th = Epic Skill focus Open Lock, Disable Device, Epic Dodge, Self Conceal up to 2x. All of these IMHO (in my humble opinion) are of much more use than CS.
WIth a full-on rogue, I could see CS being one of the rogue feats taken pre-21st lvl. I would probably sac opportunist for it since I seem to get very few AOOs at higher levels. I would have more difficulty sac.ing slipperymind but that would prolly be the next to go.
Cheers,
The Dancer
