Well, I got Nerine to 60 tonight, but I have a slight problem. I have more than 100 skill points left after maxing everything even slightly useful. Are there any currently useless skills that will become useful in future updates? like persuade? listen? bluff? intimidate? move silently? hide? heal? or even parry?

Yup, we're always making skills more useful. Don't have a crystal ball, tho, so your guess is as good as mine at this point in time. Funky

Damn. I guess i'll start beefing up persuade and heal. Here's an idea, say for every x ranks in the heal skill, add 1 permanent regen.

My suggestion pick a skill and write a really compelling idea for Funky to use and hope for the best.
EDIT: I see you already have done so - sorry. Hadn't refreshed.

lol poor Nerine...
Of course I had the same problem, but used most of mine at 59...
I've got maxxed for wizards: Lore, Concentration, Spellcraft, Tumble, Pick pocket, Pick Lock, Disarm Trap, Appraise, Spot, Search...probably some other things too...I forget I have so many.
In retrospect, probably stupid to have taken Pick and Disarm...though I can beat my pixie with locks by just a hair, and by a lot for traps...since I'm not a rogue, I can't open anything over like 40 or something like that. I'd forgotten that little rule, but too late now. *shrug*
Not like I won't get another 30something whenever I get around to taking level 60.
Though, I have a poll before I do that - Which does everyone think is better to take? LL-Evoc, or +2 int (raising all DCs by 1) with my current 56 int in gear?

Nah, first choices went to things that Int effects, then to Spot for anti-pickpocket protection. And I don't bluff things, I just blow them into small pieces

I find them amusing because it seems Nerine actually USES Sunburst for some unknown reason That was me at level 59 though, with my 125 skillpoints to spend...

Lol, I had just finished a DB run, and sunburst, along with meteors, were the only spells I could confirm that hurt him as fast as the combat log was scrolling by. Does anyone know of FoD works on DB? With all the negative energy kickback happening I couldnt tell.
-EDIT- Oh, and I have to say, max and empowered vamp touch works like a dream when you use tensers beforehand. At one point during the DB fight I had over 1800 HP, but lost most of it when his breath hit me. But the point is, I survived even with my crap wizard saves and no evasion. After the taking my last LL, I tested tensers and then max and empowered vamp touch on Yue. I was able to get over 4k HP while still leaving slots for EV and energy buffer.

Yeah, I hadn't gotten around to trying the tensar's/vamp touch strategy yet. I'd thought it would work well, and I'm glad to hear that it does on DB - if it works there, it'll work elsewhere. As to Dusty...I think either Wiltings or Thunderstrike worked, but I am not sure because last time we fought him was a total zoo and I don't even remember what I was using. I never tried FoD, presuming that since he's undead neg energy probably wouldn't work. What I'm curious about, is how paladin Lay On Hands works on him...

I've noticed that the damage from FoD isnt considered neg energy in respect to healing undead, as it works on maze guardians, arcane revanents, and some other stuff while neg energy burst heals them. Also, with vamp touch it seems that even if your target has 100% immune to neg energy you still gain HP, although it doesnt do any damage.

That is correct -- the damage is calculated, then absorbed by the immunity. That cuts both ways, though. Neg potions prevent you from taking damage from drain spells and effects, but the enemies still heal all the same.
