Hi,
I have a question about my ultimate nemesis: auto-fugue. i.e. when you are sent to fugue without requesting it, because the hoped for rez occurs too late.
As a low-AC barbarian who has been recently grouping with higher level (and AC) chars, I have often experienced the joys of multiple deaths. Most times, my ever-patience and thoughtful companions have leapt to the opportunity to rez me immediately. However, I have noticed on a couple of occasions that I have been sent to fugue before they can reach me with a rez.
My question is: Does the time between death and auto-fugue decrease with the number of rez's?
For example, if I have been rezed 10 times, is the time taken before I am sent to fugue less than the time taken if this is the first time that I have died?
Obviously, the real answer is to get some better amour, in the meantime it looks like I may be in a position to start obtaining some hard data to back up this question.
Regards
Vrok the Barbarian.

It works like this, to the best of my understanding:
The timer is a random number up to two minutes. UNTIL you allow that time to run while being alive, all other deaths are part of that original timer.
So you die...you have 2 minutes. You're ressed, die again quickly, now you've only got 1:30 until fugue. Ressed, die again fast...now you've got :59. Res, die instantly, now you have :57...
But if you die, and have two minutes...you get ressed...stand up...tie your shoes...rest...drink potions...wait for the next spawn...divy up loot...THEN die again...it's been more than 2 minutes, so your entire timer resets and you have another 2 minutes (or so, since the timer's random)

Thanks, that helps a lot.
So the conclusion is to try & stay alive for at least 2 mins between deaths so that the random timer resets.
Alternatively, I could learn to play better & stay alive (eg use better AC colleagues as shields).
Thanks
