OK, I play with a laptop.
Last night it was closed while on. And NWN was left running.
Now everything's resized - smaller. And I can't get it to be the right size again. I've shifted through screen sizing from 800x600 to 1400x1050, messed with graphics quality from fast to best - all using the Video Options...
But when I ran the configuration button, it told me that I have "bad streff"
What the hell is that? And is it screwing up my screen sizing?
I've rebooted, run spyware/malware removers, and I'm even defragmenting my drive.
Can someone give me a clue? I'm no computer guru here and I really have no idea what else to try in order to kick the game back into the proper screen sizing - aka fullscreen.
Its like I'm playing in letter box, and it is quite frustating! Help?

bad streff is from a hack interefering with nwn, delete everything in overrides directory, then reinstall animation fix, should at least fix that part.

do you mean nwn is running in a window or everything is 16x9 (widescreen) instead of 4x3(standard) try running dxdiag and check your directx install, if those dont help uninstall and reinstall nwn, if that dont update your video drivers.

I updated the video drivers and that didn't help.
Whats happening is I feel like I'm playing in letterbox - there's an inch or so of black all the way around my viewing area, and the mouse stops there - as if it was the limit of the monitor.
I don't know what it is, I think I'll just live with it though. DxDiag is next, since that I can do relatively quickly.

It sounds like you're in external video mode (output to TV, or whatever your laptop calls it). There's usually a key combo to switch it, but you will probably need the trusty dusty manual to find out what it is.
