Well, played through these areas again today for the first time in awhile, and boy, what a pain. They will be revised to make them less arduous, and also to prevent despawning through. If there are other areas that are nothing but a nuisance, I'd appreciate a heads up. You should not WANT to breeze through an area, but enjoy doing it. Funky

This can be easily fixed by making it possible to rest there or by adding a planar traveler ring pedestal in Dustbone's lair. The reason why the first zones aren't annoying as hell is because mages/clerics/druids can cast freely without having to run all the way back to the start, or using their planar traveler ring which they can't get filled during the quest at any point.

It's the uncrittables that take ages, the screelings, living sand and sanders take ages unless theres a few mages or some smiters (who of course need to rest).

Screelings are easily dispatched by a str tank with an acid bludgeoning weapon (preferably with GMW) from the import shop. Sanders and Living sands on the other hand are much more annoying as they are mostly immune/totally immune to physical damage. Although sanders are less resistant to bludgeoning damage than the other 2 damage types.

Not what I have in mind. I'm more interested in knowing if there are other problem areas. Funky

The only other place I can think of that people always run through without bothering to fight is the Ancient Cave. Lets face it, new immortals can have real problems with a room full of ancient guardians and what comes after they kill one. Of all the times I've gone to the maze, I think I've actually fought the room maybe three times ever.
Once solo, just to see if I could...once my first time, since the group didn't know how to despawn, and once when another party and mine were fighting over Dachy...and one group was keeping the room from despawning to keep the portal locked - so the other HAD to fight its way in.
Its not arduous for people around 60 anymore with mords rings, but the overwhelming majority of the time people despawn that zone to skip it and go on to the maze.
Perhaps despawning loot placeables (desert style) would encourage people to actually fight the room? Or have killing the monsters unlock the door on the other side of the room that currently goes nowhere, into a small treasure room that would despawn if you despawner the zone?
Either of those would give people incentive to fight into the maze instead of skipping it.

Plains of War also has little value to me. There's not much loot, and the enemies are annoying resistant for XP.

Not sure if this would really count but the Bison in the arctic areas are generally very hard to hit, annoying and give little XP by comparison to the difficulty. It's not so bad when there's only a few of them but in arctic valley, I think, there's a whole screen full of them that spawn . . . many times we've just run past them rather than bother to fight. Even running past them is hard to do since they're so big. I also agree on the other areas mentioned . . .

Here's a clue: You can score a really big coup if you put your mind to it Grog PS happy birthday Sabregirl!
