I see that someone doesn't believe my DD build is good enough to be tagged as "proven" in the wiki. I marked it in light blue after it made demi (I dont think I was dragged - if I was please do me the courtesy of saying so?). It has been marked back to white. Rather than engage in a backwards and forwards contest I wonder if whoever reversed the change would do me the courtesy of getting in touch? Or are the build marked in blue not ones that are "capable of conquering the hardest areas on the server" but ones that have been approved by a judge? If that is the case the wiki should say so and say who the judge is. I would leave a comment in the source code of that page that your build was successful and should be therefore left in blue. Just an idea.

Assuming we're talking about the 'Dwarven Iceaxe' build, you added the build in October 2007, before the shading went in. According to the logs, you never marked it nor did anyone else. Your next edit to the page was to add the Draconian Barbarian in September 2008. Nobody has been acting as your nemesis. I do recommend using the comments if you think it's appropriate. I've used them in a few places when editing the page. First, if the page isn't complete and list every build posted, then there is an element of 'judging' involved. Should the hot rogue build from 2004 be listed even though it really makes no sense now? Similarly should a new-to-HG players cleric/druid/sorc multi-caster build get listed? Those are perhaps obvious but it gets very murky as you get closer to viable builds. Personally I think it's very unwieldy if it lists every build, though the color coding helps a lot. An issue with the color coding, and one agonized about on the discussion page, is that it is a subjective decision. It's a wiki so of course anyone can do anything they want. I chose what I thought were reasonable breakdowns, but that's really just my opinion -- the Wiki isn't the game or forums. I think the color coding is very useful especially for newer players. Every time I personally add builds, I try to figure out if I want to add it at all -- does it look viable? Is there a screenshot or even any indication it's seen the outside of a build spreadsheet? Has anyone commented? Are all the comments criticisms of major mistakes? Fortunately if I don't add it, someone else can do it. If I do add it then there's the question of where. Top of the list? Bottom? I know someone's probably going to complain no matter where I it goes (there's one person who really likes his builds at the top and edits the page every time to put them there if they move). Should it be marked recommended? I admit to bias in my decisions about what builds I mark. Most of them have screenshots; easy to follow directions for how to make; comments about builds choices, gear, spells, etc.; comments about playing in the harder areas. They're builds that if someone said 'I've got this new HC book and want to make a cleric -- what would you recommend?' I would feel comfortable pointing to that build and knowing they'd be in good hands with it. There are a lot of the same names listed for the recommended builds. Partly because a lot of those people don't post a build until they've played it from 0 to demi, and then post it along with most of those info I listed. If they didn't like the build they didn't post it. This makes it a lot easier for me to decide. But it doesn't answer the question on the other builds. It also doesn't in any way mean the ones marked recommended are the best ones out there -- I know a few players with superb builds that don't post. Anyway, I figure it's best for me to add posted builds and try to edit it some given very few other people are doing it. Since it's a wiki people can edit things if they disagree. Hopefully we won't get into disagreements that require making someone the One True Build Judge.

I can think of few people as "qualified" (in my subjective assessment) as Yomi when it comes to "judging" builds. It is at times a difficult task with many decisions to be made, always hoping never to offend, and remembering that it is a voluntary responsibility. I know I am a better player for Yomi's efforts, and the same can be said by most of the people who play here. We all thank you, Yomi. Please do not be discouraged by this little hiccup. Changing subject ... - Aboleths(Bilestone Shield, Conduit of Baator, Eldritch Circle, Fluidic Scales, Gnomish Exploration Goggles, Worm-Borne Boots) I decided I was not going to stop until I figured out how to do this. I have tried and failed more than 3 times in the past, but this time I succeeded and these items are now posted. Some credit goes to Bort (for an unintended but necessary proverbial kick up the back-side) and to Yomi (for patiently explaining to someone with a slightly thick skull). I will be working on adding the rest of my list over the next 1-2 days.

Yomi,
Thanks for your response. Its interesting in that one of the things I was sure I did a little while after I demi'd that dwarf was mark it blue. If I managed not to get it saved then I am sorry I raised the issue. I have marked it again - because it is actually a relatively newb friendly build. It does considerable damage (not stellar but considerable) and provides tasty protection against phys and elemental damage without worrying about gear.
Thanks,

Ah, I changed the Pharlan page but didn't change the tables on the Races page. Honestly there are too many lists -- the 'Beyond Ultra-Rare Subrace' page (which the Races page links to) doesn't even have Pharlan on it.

Edited Races page to reflect that Wraith is not an open subby.... I had an issue with this the other day so i figured it should be changed for everyones sake.

I would like to draw attention to the fine work being undertaken by Crimsonbinome22 here, with some assitance from myself and Yomi. This could potentially become of the the most useful Wiki Pages. Someone with documented Turning Resistances would be able to fill one of the major gaps. Please contact one of us if you have this info. Trazik
