Is it intentional that the Stinger Clerics seem to be able to sense nearby characters even if they are in GS as they have a nasty habit of casting EQ when you are close? They don't target you with non area affect spells (or implosion for that matter) so I just wondered whether this was a bug?

They can't. A very select few other creatures can, however. Funky

Part of the problem is that they cast it at your other party members when you're in GS, and you take the pain.
But I have to agree with him, Funky - I've been in GS, and solo, and the stingers have earthquaked me into submission aswell.

I'd attribute that to nothing more than GS's overall bugginess, not anything to do with the stingers. There's a post from awhile back where I describe the various hypothesized causes of GS glitching, from tileset to conceal effects. A search should turn it up. Funky

This is definitely something specific to the stinger clerics then as it is repeatable, you can go in with one toon in GS and as soon as you stand near the clerics you will get EQ'ed, if you forced me to give a %age I'd say at least 80% of the time if not more. I'll admit that GS is buggy though as one of the casters in our party last night seemed to get picked on with monotonous regularity (by random mobs) even though he had GS up.

Again, hat's highly unlikely. Much more likely its tileset or conceal useage. There's nothing magical about a creature appearance. Funky
