Yoiks! Curse of the Tilde

Hi there

I've been away for a bit (damn travel for work) and only logged on for some serious play today (2 Jul Canberra time). Although I'd logged a couple of times recently this was the first time I'd actually tried to use my Bank Characters.

My to my surprise, and dismay, I can no longer use my Bank Characters as I had (unfortunately) given them all names that started with a tilde "~". They appear at the bottom of the character list see?

Anyway, point is, I now get a message when I try and log these chars that say "can't use name with ~", and have the poor hapless toon stuck on a boat with no way off. So none of my loot is accessible now. HELP!
