Lamest bioware update ever

Is there any way to disable the bioware cloaks? They look terrible and take away my wings. I couldnt figure out a way to dye or craft them either.

You can reverse apply and induce the following (option 1) I believe, from the 1.68 FAQ:

If the new visible cloaks are not showing up for you. It will be because of one (or both) of the following reasons:

1) You have a BaseItems.2da file in your override folder that is causing the cloak changes from the 1.68 update to be lost. Remove your custom copy of the BaseItems.2da from your override and restart NWN. The cloaks should then show up properly.

and/or

2) The module you are loading is overriding the core game BaseItems.2da in a hak pak (or more than one hak pak attatched to the module). You will need to update the copy of the BaseItems.2da in your hak pak(s) to have the same row information for cloaks as the row that is now present in the 1.68 BaseItems.2da update.

That should work, except that we already using a baseitems.2da, or so I thought. If it turns out we just have itemprops.2da, then iy should be recersable, should we decide to ditch em.

I just tried creating a new module, and dropped some cloaks and dye kits in. The cloaks in the module could be dyed using color 2 and metal 2.
When I tried this in HG I receive the message it can only be used on armor and helmets.

This is WAY premature. We're working on a scripted solution at the moment, which will allow dying , crafting, and selection of 'no cloak' appearance via crafting.

None of my characters had a cloak? I'm guessing i have a baseitems.2da override??? (I'm not on my home pc so i can't look now)

EDIT - well at least one of my characters has a cloak, so its not the override, but none of my 3 main immo's (all with crafted armor if that makes a difference) have cloaks.

Hope the Wing thing gets fixed, just traded for Fallen Angel Sub. First UR sub I have actually seen. I have the worst loot luck.

We can definitely have wings appear. We're in the midst of a more complex fix than just an override, however, attempting to get crafting to allow changing of cloak model and color, including a 'no cloak' appearance. Wings will be visible in all iunless some just look terrible. It may take a bit, however, because there's a ton of other stuff goin on atm, including the nwn2 toolset beta, the forthcoming release of cep2, and the upgrade to the SIMTools chat plugin, to deal with. That, and Bioware apparently didn't set up one of the needed functions for crafting correctly for use with cloaks, which may prevent some of this until 1.69 release.
