Speak for yourself, troller. Staring at the red glow for a long time suggests you might want to be a bit more active in terms of killing monsters.

It's possible to remove the red glow, by copying "visualeffects.2da" from the "source" folder within your nwn folder to the "override" folder within your nwn folder, and then altering the specific line that relates to the red glowing effect. I'll look it up and post the details.

Here is the thread where this was originally brought up: highergroundpoa.proboards3.com/index.cgi?board=Tavern&action=display&n=1&thread=38571) Copy "visualeffects.2da" from "NWN\source" to "NWN\override" 2) Open the file in notepad or your text editor of choice 3) Make sure you've chosen a fixed width font to view the file with so that it displays in columns as intended (i use the "Fixedsys" font, ugly, but it works). 4) Turn off wordwrap. 5) Use Find / Search to find "VFX_DUR_PARALYZED". Everything after that (on the same line) corresponds to the red glowing effect. 6) Scroll to the right a bit until you see the third column of "****" on the same line. The third, fourth, fifth and sixth set of "****"s on this line correspond to the red glowing effect for small, medium, large and huge characters in that order. Replace those four "****"s with "xxxx" or something similar and you will no longer see the immortal glow If you have any problems, simply remove the copy of visualeffects.2da from the override folder.
