-Create a new messageboard for trades (like one for one trades, something smaller than forum postings), or possibly just move the board from the docks to the wyrm... there's a lot of noobs who will not discover the forums for months.. -Add some sort of noob warning somewhere about looting in combat.. I have seen dozens of runs with battle looting or looting with spawns hiding on the map...it is despressing knowing the loot will be junk in advance.. -Trying to set the chain in Vashyks Fall should break GS... how can one talk to a stone while sanct'd? -Remove the thieves camp (from the boat ramp, west road..), it serves no serious purpose and wastes mod-size / resources. -Check the 'boss' in the hidden cave from the crypts.. it is seriously overpowered imho.. :/ -Offer some sort of reward for noobs who visit the forum, create an account and make some kinda 'hello' post (thread).... -Make the Desert & Sithrak non-solo'able.. ie by party member requirement of some sort. if party size == 1 goto double spawns... -Remove Anti-Exploit script from Tia run only... I know, I know.. I lost that argument...

It's actually encouraged in some case, to help prevent breakage from spells. Funky

-Make the Desert & Sithrak non-solo'able.. ie by party member requirement of some sort. if party size == 1 goto double spawns... Err why? If you go to the desert without the firepower to take them down you'll despawn it and get no loot and soloing Ssith without a non-demi is risky to put it mildly. If you have a demi then you've sure as Hell earned the right to go to most of those places solo anyway if you choose to although your chances of getting decent loot are severely reduced in a party of one.

I thought that combat looting was possible only for containers in our immediate vicinity...

Search the forums for posts on it. I must've explained it a half-dozen times now. Funky

I had trouble determining the battle looting rule several months ago, since there was no actual posting in the random loot forum that provided an answer.. Some time ago.. there was great discussion on desert runs about whether battle looting was allowed.. you could pop it but not look at it and other various things such as solo looting scripts, etc.. These were apparently, desert only script(s).. I've always told people not to battle loot.. but I guess I can stop doing so since it serves no purpose what-so-ever...
Chain, I've always thought of poa as a party mod.. soloing the desert and sith runs serves no purpose other than to decrease the amount of partying being done and the quality of existing partying.. ie find a 60 mage for either run.. it's usually not possible... .. Demi's could be an exception I suppose.. undecided.

Party mod yes but when you log on and there are no groups in your range or they're all full do you then just log off or wait around aimlessly? Nope I go desert running. Which is in fact why Ilikebrains Gald my Illithid mage has accrued over 75 million exp.

Purposes of soloing are many : 1 : Loot, overall you have better chance of finding URs when soloing than in a party of 10 (if you take into account the Wyrm's splitting). 2 : Experience : not the xp, but your experience in using your toon. Soloing helps understanding what your toon is capable of (and what is not ...). I think some soloing is mandatory (or strongly recommended) for any newcomer (Maze is a great place for this). 3 : Not being bored, there was a time i soloed a lot, as at the time i connected on HG no one was there (barely 5-10 people among all servers).

Just calling it like I see it.. high lvl mages are not to be found because they can solo and get better loot... and in some cases get the job done faster.. Anyhow.. I guess this is more for the desert run specifically.. since sith is a fugue zone.. and so is thids.. I guess the real question is.. would I do desert at all, with a powerful char, if I was not allowed to solo it... dunno.. anyhow.. was just a suggestion..

High level mages are not to be found because few people play them. They used to be quite popular, now suddenly with Hells out the number of tanks (strength tanks in particular, even more so DDs) has exploded.
FotM effect. From Dexers to AAs to Shifters to DDs.....
