Bank chest corrupted again.

I have no idea why it's doing this to me, but I just lost all the contents of my Transfer chest...again.

Only this time I had put 2 rare rings in the chest, then I was browsing the chest pages, only when I hit the right button to flip to patge 1 ALL my inventory suddenly turned into junk like +1 shields and potions which can't even be banked so when I closed chest it didn't save.

None of that junk was mine, it's like I was looking at someone else's lowbie chest, NOW when I went back on another server and looked in my chest it was empty....

The owner of the items I had stored was Val, they have been returned.

Someone left stuff in there that wasn't saved, because it couldn't be. When you came along, you saw it in there along with your stuff. The solution would have been to remove the items preventing the save.

Been on HG for over a year now and ive never had this b4. I assumed it was an assimilation of kit i lost on reinstall a while back and installing NWN in a different order than previously (cd keys in a different order) , so i just dealt with it. But it was similar to the above.

on opening chest it looked as thought i had someones lowbie kit. including potions and some bullets in there. stupidly clicked off the chest but it did NOT save, apparently i had over 77 items in the chest??? on looking again, i realised that the first 4 pages was all lowbie crap +1s and pots, but past that all my kit was there. had to empty the rubbish out before i could save cos of pots and over 52 items.

Note: i have not altered my NWN install in any way since apr this year, except for bioware updates and reinstalling Animation fix. Have noticed that I have been crashing, ever since last update, which i havent done in months.

I'm pretty sure this wasn't the case, since it was fine when I 1st opened it, just my items in it, it happened when I flipped from last page to 1st page, like an instant spawn of junk in chest.

Is it at least possible to get my items from the log you posted earlier? Some items will be missing but the ones I worked long and hard for will be ok. Or does this mean I just have to deal with haveing no bank items anymore

Edit: Ok don't worry about it, I had luckily managed to grab the hard to replace items and had them on my l40 alts, the only thing I lost that hurt then is Chillbinder and my extra Howling somethin(dual immunity fire/?). Not sure if I can trust the bank chest anymore though..

Best way to not lose any items in the bank vaults is simply do two things:

1. Read the message when you close the chest, if it does not say items saved then open the chest back up and find the problem items.

2. Try not to use the bank vault during server resets.

I personally have only lost items in a chest once and it was from not doing #1 so remember the message is there to save you a headache.

You don't have to worry about #2 either, as we log transactions for that reason.

i too have recently had this happen to me. first, is there a time limit for saved items in the chest? because i have not logged in for a month now, but when i did log in last night, and went to check the chest, ALL of my items were gone!
now, the last time i played, the chest closed and saved properly, so there was nothing out of the ordinary at the time of my last save.
but i am pretty disgruntled as i had about 3 months worth of stored items in there. i dont recall having anything very rare, but mostly uncommon a couple rare items.

so what happens now? for the transfer chest, since its attached to ur player prifle and cd key, is there also a grocery list of itmes that goes with that profile?

I am expriencing the same difficulties in that I lose the contents of my bank account. I also fail to recieve payments on items sold. Is there a solution to this problem?

Please post your playername and character name. Also please track down a dm and have then test the nondeposit of gold in your account from items sold. They'll have to login as a player or have someone else buy, because no gold is given when a dm avatar removes items from the market. Have them post in this thread with the results please, and we'll take it from there. The market and the storage chests are seperate systems, but there could be a common problem, such as a certain character in your name.

Tested it out and it did indeed work this time, cash to account was immediate. Also I did recieve the cash from another sale however 2 days later. And I've not lost any more from bank account as of late. Perhaps it has resolved it's self. Will let it go for the time being and see what happens. Thx.
