Staffmaster, Rogue, and Bard...good mix so far! (The Rogue will especially come in handy, I'm sure). My wife is creating a sorc, so maybe she'll re-create it (only leveled once or twice I think, so she's not losing much), so that gives another caster. I've been wanting to create a cleric or druid, so maybe that will be my first [EO] toon. But I really want to have some of the secret subby's before doing that. So maybe I'll start with a Ranger. After talking with Evey, and reading his post, I think it sounds like a great build. (He says he solos some LL areas - which is very impressive to me). Plus, the Thri-Kreen race is pretty decent for it (and my only secret subby). So, look for a ranger [EO] coming to a server near you.

I say go ahead with your ranger idea Phal, as I plan on making my first guild non-HC character a Fallen Angel Cleric Caster ;D ;D ;D ;D Her name will most likely be Mishakal The Healing Hand [EO] About the guild fees... I am in total agreement with reelroleplayer about the fees purpose being to only attract serious people. I am very happy with your participation and input, as well as your playing ability and general NWN/D&D knowledge, I would personally throw in your wife's share if I had too. Welcome aboard Fade. *sigh* I wish my wife played NWN with me So, we have a SM, Bard, Rogue, Sorc, Ranger, Caster Cleric so far... NICE! Can't wait for the fun to begin.... -DragonLance_007

/emote Look on with jealousy at Fallen Angel subby Your cleric would obviously be superior in nearly every way to anything I could make without the secret subby's, so I'll go ahead with my ranger. I don't think he'll have any Dragonlance ties, as he will be Thri-Kreen (good subby for ranger I think), but he definitely will have [EO] in his name somewhere. And thanks guys for helping out with the guild dues. My wife and I appreciate it. Like I said, we do have some money, just not a ton of extra if we were to drop in $80M. I'll see what we have collectively tonight though and let you guys know. Thanks again guys! I love the way this guild is shaping up, with so much input from so many directions.

I wouldn't mind joining up, if you'll have me. Would be nice to have a group to do runs with, tags etc. I'll check the coffers, but can definitely toss in 75 million to the cause. Was thinking about a dexer barbarian, ranger, or cleric next... I'll have to see. Nothing wrong with using Thri-kreen either mate The copious feat quantites can be quite nice. Although I haven't played very much (only 3 immos, highest is 47) with a good group that could easily change. The one major thing I can bring to the table is some build knowledge-whenever I get bored I make builds, and am always looking for the optimal constructions. As such, I can help anyone who's interested make sure they max their BAB, feat choices, saves, etc. Also, I try to be a conscientious player as much as possible, and will always do what I can to help. Thanks, JC

I'm thinking my first character will be an axe-wielding fighter (for lots of feats and epic dodge). Anyone have suggestions on whether I should do battleaxe or dwarven axe? Probably go strength so I can lug around huge stacks of throwing axes (Oh, and If anyone can part with a Siren sub book or help me get one, I'd LOVE to play a siren bard.)

Haven't run across you yet to pay the dues but mind if I create a [EO] character in the meantime?
I was thinking a caster druid using the perfectly fine Thri-Kreen race.
Look out for Tree Keen Flynn [EO].
Coming to a server near you.
******* Autumn is a time for the world to shed the gaity of spring for the solemness of winter. Only in the twilight of seasons can the world show its vividest colors. The Guildhall is silent one cool Autumn night when the massive iron-bound doors resound with what sound like the hammer falls of a Hill Giant Blacksmith. The Seneschal rushes to the double doors lest they burst from their hinges. Keep guards are on alert and their booted feet mailed shirts echo the stone corridors with scrambled haste.
The Key Master of Eternal Hall peers out into the dark nothingness of the night when a noice draws his attention downward. A lone badger is scratching at the doorway entreating entrance. Opening the stout doors just a smidge the Seneschal peers past the unassuming creature. Surely its master is about.
The badger waddles in and the guards follow it curiously. Their weapons unsheath when the badger turns at once to a wolf, then to a bear, then finally to a herrendous-looking insectile creature. "No shoot." It's multitude of arms raise defensively even as bark spreads over its body. It's voice is the high pitched screech of vestigal wing's vibrating. "I no fight. Join. Will join the Order Eternal. Is good?" It pauses only to tilt it's head at an impossible angle and rotates it's emerald-facet eyes to the Seneschal. "I Tree Keen of House Flynn. Is okay?"
"One moment." The shaken man states to the strange creature. He's never run so quickly in his life.

As far as picking between Dwarven or Battle axe... I will let you know that I have a rare 29 and 35 battleaxe you could use, but the only Dwarven Waraxe I have is Singe. You should have plenty of feats with that build going exotic shouldn't be a big deal... in the end its up to you mate. -DragonLance_007

This is great! Thanks to everyone who has been so welcoming. I cannot wait for this guild to start up. Phalthallus and I have really enjoyed playing with some of you (you may know me as Fade Steel) and now we'll have the chance to play with even more great people of HG. Thanks again to those who were generous enough to help put up some $$ in our behalf. I'm starting my Sorc over (she's only lvl 3) and renaming her: Starry Nitesky [EO]. (No HC here.... I do well enough playing regularly.) See you all in-game. -qt

Okay, so for those wishing to take part in the Dragonlance group, what all do we have? Characters I'm considering are: - Tanis Halfelven the ranger (dexer, with ranger and fighter, weapon focus in longbow and longsword, and weapon specialization longsword) - Flint Fireforge, a mix of dwarven defender, weaponmaster, and fighter, wielding a war axe (or dwarven - not sure yet) - Riverwind the barbarian (unsure of specifics on him too) other needed characters for this group would be: Goldmoon the cleric Caramon Majere the fighter Raistlin Majere the mage Tasslehoff Burrfoot the rogue (using daggers and slings, of course ) Or, if we don't want to use their real names, we can find others to use. I mostly put the idea out there to make sure we get a good mix (which is what The Companion had, as well as The Fellowship from LOTR). So do we have a lot of casters, meat shields, rogues, or a good mix? Maybe we can start a list, and whenever you add to the list, quote the list as it is. So for example, I could put: Flint Fireforge [EO] - DwD/WM/Ftr then the next person would copy/paste that, and add their toon. And it would carry on down the line. We may, as someone else pointed out, have too much trouble getting a group of 5-10 people together often enough to make the DL group work; but we still need to try and have a good mix of characters in the guild, so we can handle all situations. Thoughts? Opinions?
