Ever since SimTools was installed on our server, I get a persistent crash when someone types the following (as an example of a known crasher) into the tell to either another person or to themselves:
"mind spells, 25% electric, 10 regen"
I am not sure which string of characters is causing the crash, but the server is crashing with the following:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library --------------------------------------------------
Runtime Error
Program: D:NeverwinterNights\NWN\nwserver.exe
R6002 -floating point not loaded
----------------------------------------------------
Any idea what is causing this?

I checked with other users, and they (and I) do not get this crash. You still haven't told me what version of nwnx_chat you are running, or what OS, as i asked in response to your PM. By far the likeliest cause, however, is a script conflict, which is why I asked about what you are using for emote and command symbols. Once you give me a little information I may be able to offer some help. Funky

Hey. I actually never PMed you. I think one of my devs may have. I know that one dev had mentioned he was going to ask, didn't know that he had. I am running the main server with Windows Server 2003 SP1 (the one with the instance of MySql that the other server reads) and a second server with XP SP2. Emote and command symbols used are "!" for command and "*" for emotes. Chat version is V.0.1.6 (dll dated August 28, 2006) I hope this helps. It's become a rather troublesome error with people comparing immunities with one another and this string popping up from time to time. Thanks for all your help in this matter.

Sorry, same problem, figured it was the same person. Just tested it on my test server, running XP SP 2 and the same version of chat, Aug 28. Tried it with party, talk, and in a tell to myself. No crash. Unless you are only getting the error on the Server 2003 machine, it seems very likely that its a script conflict with one of your scripts. What I'd suggest: Try the newest version of the plugin. It fixed a similar floating point error (Win version linked to at bottom of this page): www.nwnx.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=5538#5538If you still get the crash, see if you have any other listener scripts that could be picking up the speech. Have you modified the SIMTools scripts at all? As a last resort I can troubleshoot your mod, but not until after Mar 1. HTH, Funky
