player:sellsword1911 toon: mira *there is a space before mira my lvl 30ish toon is all bard, and has spell focus enchant. and greater sf enchant. but was unable too take epic sf. other players say that on top of the prior focus feats 9th lvl spells are also a prerequisite, which bards never get. when i asked an in-game dm, i was told i needed 30+ spell craft. after getting that, on my next major feat lvl, no dice. mira with the space is a remake of the original mira, who had the same problem all the way to lvl 40. i was told with her it was possibly do to delvling. the book is an option, but if the feat is taken that way can i then take legendary sf?

Bards can't use the focus books. I never had a problem getting the focus with my bard, though I can't remember if I had to wait until legendary levels to do it. Funky

Bards can use the focus books, both of mine have. The exact prerequisites for epic spell focus are: Cast 9th level spells, 21st level, Greater Spell Focus (chosen school). And I believe that bards can take legendary focus as well, I know for sure that a paladin can.
