Is Slippery Mind a useful feat to have? Or is everything covered by Slippery Mind also covered by Mind Immunity? Or are there scripted creature abilities that bypass Mind Immune and not Slippery Mind?

Slippery mind is useful if your are at the borders of the save requirements as you'll get another chance. If you have a good save or a crap save it loses its benefits as two chances at getting a 20 or a 1 are still minimal (well 5% x 2 anyway).

From a previous thread: The item enchantment, Slippery Mind, and Mind Blank are specifically immunity to mind-affecting SPELLS. Non-spell effects, such as brain scrambling, psionics, and infiltration, are not covered. I am not sure about the Pyramid Energy buff. Oddly enough, mind blank works vs. thrallherds, but not against cerebs. So either the former are doing spells instead of psionics or some psionics are covered while others aren't. I know mindblank and prot from evil have no impact at all on lost soul domination for example -- best protection from that is to not get hit (high AC and conceal) combined with good will saves. I did an analysis of slippery mind vs. epic will a while back which can be found here. That analysis was comparing the two feats (e.g. which one should one take if you could only take one). The biggest problem for slippery mind is all the will saves you need to make that aren't spells, which probably makes all of this moot since those are the ones you'll typically be caring about. Assuming you did care about will saves vs. spells, if your saves are truly terrible, then slippery mind raises your chances from 5% to 9.75%. Better, but you'll still be failing them. When your saves are great (e.g. 50 or higher) then slippery mind works pretty nicely as your 5% chance of failure (i.e. rolling a 1) turns into 0.25% which is very nice. But realistically you're going to have mind immunity on equipment or via spells (e.g. mindblank) so it ought not matter anyway -- you just care about the non-spell stuff where slippery mind probably doesn't work.

Unless you mean the instant death one, which indeed doesn't repect mind immunity (or death immunity for that matter). Funky
