Trying to figure out what to do with my Dragonblooded subby, and was wondering about the following:
BaneKnigt RDD
16 sorc/ 17 BG / 7 RDD level 40 stats 36/8/20/6/10/18 Hitpoints: 528 Skillpoints: 86 Saving Throws (Fortitude/Will/Reflex): 30/24/19 Saving Throw bonuses: BAB: 23 AB (max, naked): 38 (melee), 23 (ranged) AC (naked/mundane armor/shield only): 13/24 Spell Casting: Sorcerer(8)
or 14 sorc / 16 BG / 10 RDD level 40 stats 40/8/20/6/12/20 Hitpoints: 540 Skillpoints: 93 Saving Throws (Fortitude/Will/Reflex): 31/25/20 Saving Throw bonuses: BAB: 23 AB (max, naked): 40 (melee), 23 (ranged) AC (naked/mundane armor/shield only): 15/26 Spell Casting: Sorcerer(7)
Pre-epic Toughness Extend Spell Still Spell Power Attack Cleave Weapon Focus: Something sharp Improved Critical: Something sharper
epic feats Divine Might Divine Shield Great Strength 1-4 Armor Skin Epic Prowess Epic Fiendish Servent
advantage of the first is the 8th level spells
the second route gives me better DC and AB, but the DC might be useless since I don't have any high level spells. 100% fire immune
This is one of those builds that could be phenomenal if the LL's counted or at least better if I didn't need to make bane knight before 26, then I could get in 4 attacks by taking the RDD earlier.
Anyway, is this a dead end?
Thanks

I think RDD 10 is worth getting. The +4 Str helps you in melee and with casting Bane Knight spells. The +2 Cha will help with any other spells you cast. The 100% fire resistance is very helpful. You also get +2 ac by going to 10 instead of stopping at 7. These plusses make the second build better in my eyes, but I must admit that being restricted to L7 spells is a little disappointing.
If you are willing to sacrifice the BG bonus feats for BG 13 and BG 16, then you could go with: Sorc 18/BG 12/RDD 10. This would give you access to 9th level spells, your caster level for Bane Knight spells (at L60) would be 50 (down from 53 in your first build, but the same as in your second), and your caster level for other spells would be up to 38 (compared to only 16 and 14). There are some disadvantages to this approach, however. Your caster level for the Bane Knight version of Premonition would be lowered to 12 (from 37 in your first build - note that because Premonition is an 8th level spell, your second build won't be able to cast it at all). Your Death's Kiss damage would be much lower, as would your Bestow Curse DC and imposed penalties. Also, since Sorc would be your control class for legendary levels, you would miss out on the 4 extra points of Cha that a legendary BG would get.
Edit: Oh, I forgot another disadvantage: Without BG 15 you won't be able to get Epic Fiend, and thus won't qualify for the tougher fiend that a certain item allows qualifying BG's to summon. Personally I think 9th level spell access outweighs the disadvantages, but I'm not completely sure.
Further edit: Removed my suggestion of 10 Sorc/10 BG by level 20, because the BAB requirement of BG makes this impossible.
