I understand why people throw in fighter and WM levels into monk builds, and I can understand why someone would take 1 level of paladin or 2 levels of Blackguard, but why the splash classes of things like 5 BG or 5 SD or 5 DD?

I took 5SD to get Defensive Roll (see my sig), for Self Conceal and Epic Dodge. 2 SD also gives you evasion AND uncanny dodge, better than 3 lvls of rogue, and more than what 1 monk gives you. 5DD gives you UCD (at L2) and immunity to flanking, which is basically a 2AC penalty when being attacked by multiple creatures: www.nwnwiki.org/Defensive_AwarenessA sixth level gets you 3/- physical dmg reduction. Don't know about the 5BG, NWNWiki says:

5BG vs 4BG, not sure why some1 would want to. . . other than being build specific. Perhaps, going 4 lvls pre-epic to add the extra base attack bonus/attack and then maybe another to do a skill dumb for taunt at 40th? Not sure why one would want to do this because taunt isn't too effective unless you've got epic skill focus and you've got some LL ranks thrown in there but maybe that is why you saw the 5 BG tossed in the mix.
Dark blessing @ lvl 2for some nominal saves of course.
