The importance of high (60+) fortitude and reflex saves is pretty obvious for a char that wants to stay upright in just about any LL area for long, but what are the consequences of a low will save? What kind of spells/effects are out there in the wild that have a high Will DC?

low fort saves and reflex saves can result in your death. a low will save can, in certain areas, result in your wiping the entire party.
there ARE ways of compensating though..

Is it just DC 60 saves that are in question, or are there higher saves? I've heard about the hells' 65 reflex and the Black Pharoah's 80 fort or whatever, was just wondering if there's a higher target than 60 I should be shooting for regularly.

Being in the hells reduces saves among other things.

Ahhh so perhaps the uber saves over 100 plan that I had been talking about in my other thread "Saving Throws" is not such a bad idea? Someone has to make that 124 reflex save

or just have immunities to the damage your take, much easier and more viable build

I dont know if I would consider getting the 100% immunity needed for some areas "easy" but I am working on it

If you take 100 damage from a element, you dont need 100%, you can have it covered with 75% immune from a ring, and 25/ from another item, both which are widly availble on random loot. Also buffs from druids etc help but much easier to stay alive if you dont rely on buffs.

75% + 20/- works for most areas, it covers you up to 80 damage in that element. If you manage to get a UR with 30/-, then a 75% will cover you for 120 damage, which is enough for almost all areas.

Or maybe an item like Greater Bracers of Resiliance, xD.
Among other things - 35/- to all elements, xD.
