SECRET SUBRACES require a marker placed on the players account during gameplay. These markers go by playername (your GameSpy login), so you should keep that in mind if you use multiple playername accounts. Think of them as rewards for dedicated play, or as a rationing system for races that are less commonly found adventuring.
- A quote from the subrace board where, if you check, the URs and BURs are referred to as "secret".
I think the "secret" is not how you obtain them, it's simply that it's not accessible by all.
That being said, the way you get some of the secret subraces just happens to be a secret...
when i first started playing and trying to think of new builds i used this chart a lot. however after reading it a million times, i don't really need it anymore.
often its helpful to just go to the subrace board (or the forum post with it) and perusing the subbies in order to get a feel for which builds for which they were each designed. when you see one which fits a build you'd like to try, take it into cbc or test chamber and play around with it.
this chart is a great way of condensing the information, but unless its official i'd rather use another. or print it and double check accuracy yourself
Milo the sorc Luhr the shifter Ford the tank bob the druid Turk the assassin
Having a reference list available when you create a new character is always good. So I updated the HGWiki section on races to reflect the addition of the new subraces since the last couple of updates. I also added the pages that display only the secret subraces, ultra-rare subraces, and beyond ultra-rare subraces. I also added the legend on top for the appearance tags in the list. I tried to keep the order as close to how they appear on the sub-race board at the docks.

ok so the "free" subraces do i just type it in for charactercreation and atomatically get it? and does it make me look any different???
Some free subraces do change your look and some don't. The best way to find out is to look on the subrace board right by the docks and look for the subrace you want. Once you find that subrace if it has "(Changes Appearance)" or something of that sort then it changes your look. Also, please have a look around the forums and read some of the posts made by other members. Read dods beginners guide to learn a lot of things you may not already know. Hope I answered your question well enough for you to understand.
