Hedge's parser is now 404 (missing) from the link listed above.

I found a program that automatically backs up your log files when you exit nwn so they don't get overwritten. I think some of the logwatchers do this but not sure which ones(I know Syn's doesn't as I use it). I've been looking for a program to do this for quite some time, and hopefully someone else will find it useful. It also autoexecutes nwn for you...not sure I like that part tho. sourceforge.net/projects/nwstory/files/nwStory_%20Clobber/1.1/clobber-win32-1.1.zip/download

That depends on what application you are looking for and what your personal preferences are. I use YAL for instantaneous feedback and SNARL for overview/after-the-fact logging (generates output like this). I primarily play tanks and in windowed mode, so this setup works well for me. I have not yet tried Higher Ground Extender, but it looks very promising as an overlay logger. Casters tend to like gollem's magelogger, for perhaps obvious reasons.

Balduvard, I'm never playing casters and I'm on Win 7. That output is brilliant.

Was looking for a parser and tons of the ones posted here have invalid links. I then read through this thread, and figured since I already started I may as well go through and update this thread since most of the parsers are defunct and are listed as links from the old board, hopefully this will save folks some time. For the ones that are still valid, I presume they still work but haven't tested any of them myself except Higher Ground Extender and ARF2. Listed in chronological order of posting (per Funky's original post): Ruby Chat Log analyzer (dead link, defunct) Hedges Nwn Logparser (dead link, defunct) Bort's NWN Log Parser for windows (dead link, defunct) LogWatcher by syn (dead link, defunct) Log parcer by IllLootIndexer by syn (dead link, defunct) Ekstrom's NWN Logger YALGollem9's Magelogger (dead link, defunct)
Status or links to the other threads from the first page of this directory (in no particular order): bhao/Acaos' ARF2 - HG Loader/Status App for WindowsIllandous HG LoaderVichya's Higher Ground Extender tokidoki's [Ahk] Crack-ly's Nwn-Features! v1.61 (dead link, defunct) bhao's SNARL (dead link, defunct) Yomi's XML data for parsers helbrax's HG Dashboard (dead link, defunct) johannhowitzer's Equipment-balancing aid (dead link, defunct) zeryl's Potential New Loot Parser (dead link, defunct) fasut's Subrace Chart on google-sheets

this should be the only one people use tbh - although in fairness I haven't used the others, the reason I say vichyas should be used is because it's kept current for the most part, and has a lot more useful features than just a parser(for in-game use)

I use HGE, I agree it's great and pretty comprehensive.
I was looking for something that displays buff timers in an overlay, though I suspect there's a way to display this with HGE as well. If I can figure it out, I'll report back here.

If I can figure it out, I'll report back here. im sure it's possible using hgx, you just need to find out how to display what buffs you want in the overlay that already exists for it

Old Moe here - with a question. Yeah, I'm not playing here currently. New Computer, New installation, on Win 11 now (skipped everything between 7 and 11 - lol) So I went with NwN EE to get my NwN fix.
Oh, the QUESTION: I am looking for a logger like I used to use on HG. I THINK it was Syn's, but I can't swear to it. It had an on screen window that showed all the damage in and out - and what types. I found it VERY useful figuring out where my weaknesses were, when to change weapons, etc.
The links for the loggers no longer work, and probably are hard coded for the Diamond log location - BUT - I thought it was worth asking if anyone knew of a working one that would work with NwN EE.
