Synan: Three things - 1.) Awesome work! I had no idea how much I was missing until I started using this. 2.) My version is missing the third line of damage (Total done to me?), but has the first, second and fourth. Any idea why that might be? Huh? Never heard of that happening.. Can I get a sshot? Acutally you do. docs.python.org and away you go

Great work again Syn, I have a few questions for you though. my first one regards the .sticky command. Does this make the watcher remember it's location at all times or only while it is running? I ran the program and loaded nwn got the watcher in the location I wanted and used the .sticky command. To test it I closed both and started them back up the watcher was back in the middle of the screen instead of where I wanted it to stay. Maybe I'm missing something I'm not sure. One requirement prior to using the sticky tho is that you have to turn decoration off. I know the sticky has been working properly for many people. So run the lw, place it, click the stat button to remove decoration and in game .sticky. It "has to"(tm) work. Haven't thought about that, but I have been asked to enable running the game from the logwatcher lol. That's a feature you'll be getting in the next version.

But when I have the log watcher going no amounnt of alt tabbing or going back and forth from my desktop back to NWN will cure it... I am running an ATI card if that makes a difference -shrugs- Thanks again for this wonderful and useful tool, if I can get this brightness issue worked out I will be in heaven. ~DL Actually, it does seem to make a difference which card you have. People have reported the weirdest stuff, turned out they all have ati cards. I don't know why this issue is arising, no idea how to "fix" it either, sorry. And no, I'm not gonna advise buying a new card lol, I hope people find a way to cirrcumvent the problem somehow. It seems to me it has trouble separating 2d and 3d gamma settings for some reason, and as the window is itself 2d it overwrites 3d gamma settings. You could prolly fix it by lowering your gamma in the 2d part of the drivers, but it will affect your desktop so I don't know if that's viable. Thank you all for the compliments, I am glad you are enjoying it. I have some exciting (at least to me) new features coming (to your local stores) soon.

I wouldn't blame you really, I didn't put that into the doc even as I figured nobody runs it with decoration on Guess I'll add that then..

What is "decoration" I assume he means the windows bar around the watcher that you can remove when you hit the statics button

Yes, a window manager (in the case of default windows it's explorer on pre-vista windows, no clue about vista) actually "decorates" windows with borders, the titlebar and those buttons. In window manager terms a window can ask to be decorated or not, meaning you get the border/titlebar or not.

I seem to be having problems getting it to work again after I replaced fc-cat.exe (recall my "worm" problem) and updated to version 1.2. I use the PC Scrye (after the server has identified itself) and I get no "activation" of the LogWatcher. I have it "stickied" in the lower right of my screen, but I dunno if that influences my problem. Any ideas? Trazik EDIT: Nvm. I uninstalled and re-installed, cuz I realized I ended up with an installation that was out of order (refer to original post).

Here's the screen shot showing the missing line: When the fugue timer is running, the last line gets shoved off and I only see the outgoing damage.

Interesting. What resolution are you running your windows in?
Haven't had anyone report such a problem, either the window dimensions are interpreted differently or the font is bigger for some reason. Did you change the default font/font size for applications?

My resolution is 1280x1024. I had the font size set to "Large". Just tried changing it back to normal and "voila!" I have 4 lines. Thanks!

Forgive me if this has been answered already - when I run LogWatcher, the overlay flickers between fore- and background constantly. If I click on it, NWN minimizes and LogWatcher and it's console screen stay up as normal. Sometimes, if I click on NWN on the taskbar (as opposed to Alt-Tabbing back to it), LogWatcher will remain in the foreground. Either way, it accumulates data as it should, I just can't get it to reliably stay in the foreground.
Any ideas?

Read up a bit, there have been such things and have been answered, Cata found it happening to him first and has a trick with alt-tabbing a bit. Supposedly this only happens on ATI cards also.
