I downloaded the cep2.2 updater, ran it and installed NWN then downloaded and installed HG Enhanced standard update. Tried to log in to a server and it says that I am missing cep2_patch_v22c.hak. I checked the hak folder and i have cep2_v22b.hak.
Took forever to get it to initiate on Vista and i had to run as administrator, but any idea where the missing file may be?

Try running the HGE updater and install cep 22. It willl fix that problem hopefully. You can find the updater on hgweb.org/cep22.htmlEnrith

Hmm I get the same problem.
Downloaded the full 1 Gb CEP2.2 install and when I try to log into HG I am missing CEP2_patch_v22c.hak
So I try the updater and I can't get that to work.
Extracted the ERF and Gui shortcut to my c:/Neverwinter Nights/NWN folder and run them from there and I get the frustrating ...
"You must run the CEP updater from your Neverwinter NIghts folder"

It's lieing all you need to do is copy the smallest .hak file in the folder to your desktop then rename it as cep2_patch_v22c.hak and put it back in the hak folder. Apparently it's just a check file to tell the system that you have the 2.2c version installed so it doesn't matter what it has in it.

It makes no difference which one you copy and rename I just listed them by size and took the smallest one as I don't like wasting space.

Smallest file for me was cep2_core0.hak so I replaced it with cep2_patch_v22c.hak.
Now when I try to login I get a message that says:
Could not load the Module. Missing required HAK file. "cep2_core0.hak"
Now what?

He didn't say "replace the smallest one", he said "copy the smallest one to your desktop, rename it, and copy it back". That way you don't lose the smallest file.
You could also right-click the file and drag it within the same folder it's already in (the hak folder), and select "Copy Here", then rename "Copy XXXX.hak" to the right file name.

I used the wrong semantics.
Went to the hak folder and I did just rename the file in the same folder, but will try it that way.
