I'm a big fan of strength rangers and the pharlan subrace obviously. Pharlans, of course, are well known as great hunters as well as defenders of the faith. I have really enjoyed playing this character in almost all areas of the mod from Nessus to Aboleths.
Devcrit bastard sword, and +14 blade thirst for consistent mega damage. Called shot DC maxes out at 54 with PoM bracers but it does land in the hells even without them. However most non-crit immune monsters are rapidly beaten to death before the called shot lands.

AB shown with song and +14 blade thirst against a favored enemy. AC shown with song and girding. STR artifact has been used on her. Could get a few more AC from strongheart.

I ditched animal empathy in this version, my doms seemed to only get me killed by attacking KB monsters. You can swap your str and dex around however you like, this is just the balance I chose.
The main benefit to this build is using the pharlan CHA bonus to avoid taking ANY save feats which on a str ranger usually takes a ton of feats since both reflex and will are abysmally low. So instead of using the stygia katanas you can use bastard swords (or any other medium weapon you like) instead.
