Here's my assassin, currently tagged through Cania. Compared to Mish's Minja build (probably the most commonly used assassin build at the moment), it lacks dual wielding for the extra first round attack (which I find of dubious value), but gains full chest opening and searching capabilities. AB and DC is the same as the Minja, AC is in the low 140s with girding (mixed URs and BURs).
Base Race: Halfling Subrace: Half-Fiend Alignment: Any evil
Stats (STR/DEX/CON/INT/WIS/CHA): 6/20/12/16/8/8 (at creation) 6/26/16/20/6/6 (after edits) 6/56/16/20/6/6 (at 60)
Progression: 1 Rogue 1 Fighter 10 Assassin 4 Fighter 3 Rogue 1 Fighter 20 Assassin
All stat points go into DEX
Feats (* marks bonus feat): 1 Bullheaded 2 Weapon Finesse* 3 Iron Will 6 Great Fortitude 9 Toughness 12 Skill Focus Disable Trap 13 Weapon Focus* 14 Improved Critical* 15 Skill Focus Search 18 Skill Focus Listen 20 Blind Fight*
21 Armor Skin 24 Epic Prowess, Great Dex 1* 27 Epic Weapon Focus: Club 28 Great Dex 2* 30 Blinding Speed 32 Great Dex 3* 33 Epic Skill Focus: Discipline 36 Great Dex 4, Great Dex 5* 39 Great Dex 6 40 Great Dex 7*
42 Legendary Skill Affinity: Discipline 45 Legendary Luck 48 Legendary Will 51 Legendary Weapon Focus: Club 54 Great Dex 8 57 Great Dex 9 60 Great Dex 10
Skills: At creation, put two points into Hide and two points into Move Silently. At level 3, put five points into Set Trap. At level 20, max Concentration, Discipline and Parry (you will need to save points to do this). Between 20 and 40, max Disable Trap, Hide, Listen, Open Lock, Search, Tumble, Use Magic Device. Between 40 and 60, max Disable Trap, Discipline (once you take LSA Discipline), Hide, Listen, Open Lock, Search, Tumble. At 60, cross-class as many points as possible into Concentration and Parry and dump the remainder into Use Magic Device.
Saves at 60, fully geared: 59 Fortitude 82 Reflex 59 Will

Other notes: Use the DEX artifact for the +1 AB/AC/DC. Go with a full 63 ranks in Tumble, rather than just 60. This will help with making the DC 120 checks in some areas. Refer to Mish's Minja build for play notes (optimal equipment setup and target priority). Carry a few Plate of Horlannan Mongoth around so you can cast Greater Restoration on yourself when searching or opening chests (it's too much of a hassle for fighting though). Reincarnating demigods (single or double) can exchange Skill Focus: Disable Trap for another feat of their choosing (not that there is much left to take at that level). Otherwise, they may elect to lower their starting INT to boost their STR, CON or WIS, at the cost of skills. Read the Illusion tome to get a once per day, three round duration Greater Sanctuary from the Assassin Ghostly Visage ability.

Atomie (UR) and Tiefling (Secret) adaptations of the above build. Both of these have 4 less dexterity and constitution, and 2 less intelligence. Saving throws are slightly better thanks to Epic Fortitude, but the necessity of dropping Parry and the reduction in AC and HP means that these builds are a bit more fragile overall.
For both of these builds, achieving demigod status will allow you to drop Weapon Specialization (move Weapon Focus in its place) and take Skill Focus Search, thereby freeing an epic feat. Atomies will probably want Epic Skill Focus Concentration (or LSF if you shuffle feats upwards) while Tieflings should take Armor Skin.
Progression: 1 Rogue 1 Fighter 3 Rogue 10 Assassin 5 Fighter 20 Assassin

Your able to open all the Hell Level Chests with this build? Nice you do know the rogues will be unhappy with you over this! EDIT - Corrected by the Spelling police

Rogues are probably more unhappy that they are inaptly being called make-up, it's r-o-g-u-e. C'mon people, it's not that hard. Nice looking build chirikov, I was thinking about going this route myself (and with HF even). What do you think about going 8/2 vs 6/4 fighter/rogue mix? With 8/2 you should be able to get 1 more fort. save, 1 point of AB and 1 more feat at the cost of uncanny dodge and 1 reflex save. edit - you are not even losing the uncanny dodge as you get it at level 2 assassin anyway

My assassin is quite similar. I took Improved Expertise for when you absolutely have to tank a Hells boss for a while. It's nice to get hit only by 20s and crazy special attacks.

I just got half-fiend, reinc'ed into this build and I like it. I took toughness like you did, dropped blind fight for expertise, (heard you need as much as ac as you can get against elite magebane) and dropped sf listen for sf umd.

im curious, what exactly do you need skill focus: umd for?

For scroll usage in hell when no song, cos I don't have enough points to max it. This should be a rare case but it happens from time to time, and when it happens the 3 points difference will help. Can't think of other skills, disc is @127 with esf disc, maybe concentration not sure.

with the build you should have approx 49 points in umd, plus up to 4 from cha buffs, so itd take some pretty serious penalties for scroll failure. given a choice, i would probably take sf: discipline, because you only hit 127 with that while restored, and slag checks are very annoying

Just wondering about saves on this build, 59 fort/will seems right on the edge.. maybe drop blinding speed, and legendary luck, instead pick up Legendary Fortitude, Epic will, should put you to 62, 79, 60 (as nice as blinding speed is, I know I have it on a few toons).

havent really had any issues with the saves so far, though admittedly i havent been hit by demi pens yet. the high ac plus conceal helps a lot with avoiding the majority of checks (plus you can instakill a lot of them too one of my goals while designing this assassin was to fit in blinding speed, because as an assassin youll quite often be running around the battlefield to switch targets. most the time youll be able to beg a fom off a party member, but the extra half-step from blinding speed does help quite a bit
