Is that the pic of the WoW guy who basically ran his own guild...kinda sad really.
I have had 10 toons on at once for proxy leveling, 2 desktops (5 instances) and 4 laptops (5 instances). However Win7 killed my ability to run 4 instances on my main computer. The compatibility settings suck.
Generally about 2.5 is about as much as you can run effectively with at least one being a fire-and-forget tank.

regarding the CPU affinity, does it correspond to physical cores or virtual cores? I'm asking because im wondering if i set it between 0 and 7 or between 0 and 3.... (Quad-core hyperthreaded i7)

And for some reason not working again. I am getting the timeout error even after changing the ports on the second one. And everytime i try to log in i have to enter the entire cdkey at startup for both accounts. Time to delete NWN!!!

most simply variant to do... do for each account make folders and put copy of files: nwn.ini - i use to quick restore to default video settings (windowed mode) nwnplayer.ini - account based settings (port, CPU affinity, list of servers in history page) nwncdkey.ini
make *.bat file in NWN folder for each account, something like this:
copy "d:\games\nwn\Keys\account1\*.ini" "d:\games\nwn\" nwmain.exe
"d:\games\nwn\Keys\account1\*.ini" - example folder with INI files for account #1 "d:\games\nwn\" - NWN folder
second account must be logged only after loggin with toon on first account.
for switching servers use "!portal ###" command (you can have troubles with CD-Keys if you relog with first logged account)
