A Poetic Knight has trained not only to fight amongst the ranks of the purple dragons of Cormyr, but to provide support to his fellows.
Requirements:
12 bard levels
5 PDK levels
Weapon Focus
by level 20
On acquiring Poetic Knight status the character is granted epic warding as a free feat, and epic weapon focus in the weapon which they have weapon focus in.
Poetic Knights are trained to support their fellows, even literally. They are given additional uses of Final Stand equal to their Charisma Modifier. In addition to the normal use of final stand, they can choose to grant themself complete KD immunity while expending 1 Final Stand usage every 3 rounds. (I definitely think that play testing this would be needed to balance the uses granted and the rate of consumption on the personal effect.)
Their uncanny skill at evading attacks is legendary, with ethereal visage granting additional concealment equal to their strength or charisma modifier whichever is higher, capped at 90% concealment. Poetic Knights may not use a shield. Concealment cap is reduced to 70% if base dexterity is higher than 40.
Poetic Knights gain an extra attack from Improved Heroism cast on themself at CL45, and an additional one at CL55.
Having learned discipline to such a degree they can share their discipline with others. A Poetic Knight gains Cha Mod/2 uses of Heroic Shield with each lasting Cha Mod rounds. When cast upon another player this will cause automatic success (immunity) to all discipline checks. (If this seems too overpowered it could just be that it shields them from all slagging effects.)
Due to a Poetic Knight's keen knowledge of weapons, any gmw cast by a poetic knight receives an additional +1 enhancement bonus, to a maximum of +15 with Legendary Spell Focus (Enchantment).
A Poetic Knight cannot gain bard epic spells, nor do they gain song points for PDK levels.
Mage Armor takes on a whole new meaning when cast by a Poetic Knight on themself, as it provides protection against many of the forces which besiege the magical warrior of today, granting CL/3% immunity to exotic damage.
Poetic Knights have heard of many of the dangers which await adventurers, and have devised a spell to provide protection against even the strangest of forces. The spell Invisibility when cast by a PK shields a portion of the target from the esoteric forces on the battlefield, granting the target 4*(Abjuration Focus +1)/- esoteric resistance.
Poetic Knight use a different version of Bluff, Taunt and Persuade. They are swift actions but unlike skill based abilities they have a different calculation for success. Their charisma or strength determines the power of these abilities. The success rate is equal to their charimsa or strength score%, whichever is higher.
Poetic Knights can convert Great Dex feats to Great Str feats using the pcscry, this ability ends at level 41.
I've talked to a bunch of people about this quasi, thanks for the advice which has made this idea much better I think.
