I'm still worried. Buried him in the ocean... how well did that work out for the Autobots??

On a side note burying the body at sea hours after his death was stupid, sounds like a mistake was made. Besides the conspiracy theorists that would be fed easily by that, the radical Muslim community will keep saying that he is alive, and using his name for their purpose. Seems like a picture on the front page with a bullet in his head would have been a better option. I think that would have been the better course vy far. THe only explanation I can think of for the "ocean burial" is: 1) He was captured by a seal squad. These guys don't mess up, and I doubt they'd have been given such a high-threat target and told "we want him dead". 2) "Ocean Burial" is such a simple cover-up. I feel, quite strongly, that we have Bin Laden chained to a wall and is currently being "questioned" right now, for everything he knows.

This is silly enough that it's not worth the time to rebut - just flip on the t.v. What IS worth remark is that you refer to westerners and religious nuts as if they were non-overlapping circles in a ven diagram . Funky You mean the terrorists that they interviewed who said "yes, now that Bin Laden is dead, we will leave the great American war machine alone, we give up"? And if you believe any western news channel, I've got this great bridge to sell you. By the way.. it's spelled ven n . It helps to spell things right when trying to sound offhand. *claps*

If they keep the body then you have a huge portion of Islam upset because he wasn't buried in 24 hours - which is the custom. More importantly, whereever the body goes, you would have a focal point of those idolizing him. Imagine the uproar if he is buried on American soil. Imagine the funeral hysteria and chance for venting against the US when his body is buried. Imagine the long term shrine that would exist as a monument to American "aggression." No, the best way to minimize all of that is to get rid of the body. And then, better yet, blame that on observing the Muslim tradition of being buried so quickly. To me, that was the best planned part of this operation. -Holes

How many times more do muslims die from terrorist attacks than other faiths? 100?

Do you recall Hillary Clinton's facial expression in that photograph? It looks like she is about to toss her cookies after seeing the cadaver with a hole in it's head.

Funky You mean the terrorists that they interviewed who said "yes, now that Bin Laden is dead, we will leave the great American war machine alone, we give up"? No, I mean, flip on the damn television and have a look for yourself. The notion that his death is insignificant is patently absurd, whether or not it has strategic implications in the 'war' on terror, which experts already disagree on. This is just stupid. The news is quite reliable in this country, Fox 'News' aside, and is pretty solid for most reporting so far as you are aware of the corporate biases and the moronic tendency to spin off of what other channels, especially Fox, decide is a story (birtherism, for example). It is terrible for international coverage, but most Americans have their heads too far up their butts to care, and that's an issue of breadth, not accuracy. And Fox really isn't news so much as it is propaganda, anyway, despite what they named it (calling it 'propaganda' would likely make it somewhat less effective ). My primary source of news is the Economist, but it hardly contradicts what you see on western news channels (and is excellent for economic analysis, despite a conservative slant). Nor do any of the other diverse news sources I rely on, some of which are highly critical of the West, like Pravda, contradict Western news. They disagree on interpretation of the facts, but seldom the facts themselves, something which is only really an issue with Fox, and why it is actually illegal in Canada and the UK (because of its misleading nature). ZOMG a typo!!!!!11 And yet SOMEHOW you still understood what I was referring to. This is even dumber than your lead-in. The exact opposite would make more sense, as typos, and mispellings in general, are highly characteristic of offhand, hastily typed responses, as opposed to carefully composed replies. Your logic is so warped as to make it appear you're being contrary for the sake of being contrary. Shocking, I know. Funky

That guy is a freaking rocket scientist. He thinks the White House is going to resort to yanking screens from Hollywood movies to fake death pictures? Roofles. Sounds more like something a conspiracy theorist looking to drill up some hits would resort to. He's dead, you idiots. Funky
