Though, the party members' levels having to be within 4 levels of eachother kinda sucks at times.
I do like it, making it so that the higher levels can't "leech" off the lower levels, and get more xp because a lower level is with them. (and the other way around) But it kind of sucks, for me, when I have to fight alone when no one around my level is on. Which is rather often...with my newest character, Aklern.
I have to say that the DM involvement has got to be the best on this server. I've been on countless servers before I happened upon HG, and the thing I noticed is that the DM's are always around, either playing, just hanging around, or showing us the new areas that keep cropping up. Keep up the good work, guys.

I agree that the 4 level limit for grouping makes it tough sometimes. I also agree that I don't want to see low levs basically getting free exp from high levs. There needs to be a fair balance, and if it's an all-or-nothing thing, I'd keep things the way they are. The only thing I can think of that would work (in theory... I have no idea at all if it's possible to even make this work) would be to increase the group level limit range, to maybe 5-6-7-8, plus make it so the group exp bonus gets less and less the farther apart you are. That way, grouping a lvl 25 + 32 can be done, better than soloing, but getting less group exp than a 25 + 26 group. Or something like that. Lets you group with your friends more, without worrying about staying quite so tight with levels. Personally, I find the group exp bonus a little generous (ducks flying tomatoes and garbage everyone's throwing at me at the moment).... You get 4 folks together, and it's like bang! 3x the exp for the same mob, and it's 8x easier to kill. I'd gladly give up a little of that exp bonus to group with friends who might be a little farther away in levels than me. Plus, this way, you don't get the 30th lvl abusing things by grouping with 15th lvls... that'd be too far away & still give no exp. Just my thoughts. Comments welcome.
Argon has a good idea (as usual). I don't think it should be an outrageous gap either just a little more than 4, like 6. I love this server. It's the only server I play anymore multi-player. If the server went down I might destroy my computer cuz there would be no more point...

Hmmm well I've been sitting here reading about the level limitations tonite. And I'll see if I can widen the level gaps a bit and make it easier to level along with high/low level mixes.. I believe it's just a matter of fixing a few mod scripts. I'll keep you updated.
Done. The level limit is now 6. And Argon does have a great idea. And the best thing about it is that its already scripted ;D The original xp script for PoA takes the average level of the entire party and uses that to calculate the xp given. So we didn't have to change anything but the range of levels. Ahh... code reuse. MMMmmmm.....
