I'll post more 'metal that isn't just noise' at the end of this post. I own an Apocalyptica CD, actually. I used to hook up an amp to my cello and cover stuff, though nothing by Metallica. I don't want to get sued. Funky

@ Funky: nice @ Wollstonecraft: calm music is nice once in a while (although my definition of calm is probably a bit towards the rougher end of the spectrum..). @ TZ: I rather like Linkin Park's Numb and

Wow! lots of good stuff here ( I love these kind of threads! Old and new, and I appreciate Musical talent no matter the age- including the Classics; Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, etc, I will most definitely check out the unknowns to me; artists listed in the thread. As for my favorites? here are just a few (I could not list them all, would take too much room) but these are my top 6? more or less, I will start with in this order; favorite/oldest-- ending up at the newest. Genesis - The Musical Box , Belgian TV - Six Hours Live -March 20th, 1972 Genesis-- Firth Of Fifth from their 1973 album Selling England by the Pound. Peter Gabriel-Digging In The Dirt- 2003 Milan- Growing Up Live King Crimson performing indiscipline in tokyo- 1981- the band has been around since 1969 Pink Floyd - High Hopes-from the 1994 Pink Floyd album, The Division Bell Music video by Flaw performing Payback. (C) 2001 Universal Motown Records, a division of UMG Recordings, Inc. Rook Da Rukus Ft. Queen Hanounneh - LOVE AND HATE I wanted to keep this as condensed as possible, but here is a list of some others I like as well; Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Godsmack, Tool, Megadeth, Queensryche, Rush, Soungarden, Static-X, Yes. just a few more but not all:D

I am a Metallica fan, but moreso of the older songs. I also have the Apocalytpica CD that covers Metallica. Judas Priest and Megadeath are also favourites of mine, but I am not a metal-head by any stretch of the imagination.
I also rather like Mozart and certain modern "classical" types like the music from the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and the hard-to-find techno-classical music from Transformers.

This is from a strange game that has the best songs ever, seriously all songs are really awesome, and there are more than 12 games of it each with a lot of musics and (almost) all are great songs. If you ever heard about real hardcore games, this is one of them. Killing asmo alone with a int base slinger without any gear is easy than beating this game on the lunatic difficult (I used to play in Easy and died a lot lol) but its so fun, good to play with high sound to listen to the music while playing. This one is just normal mode, now see this one in lunatic Resposting this from a similar thread we had in DT forums... (yah Im that lazy :X )

Just found this joke online. I know, it's not a joke thread, but it IS a music thread and it's a music joke! Scroll way down to the bottom to see the jokie, there's a bad word in it. 3 Guys are in a bar. One of them says: I have the longest arms in the world. The other one says: I have the longest legs in the world. The third guy says: I have the greatest musical talent. So, they decide to go to the office of the guinness book of world records. The first guy comes out and says: Yes! I do have the longest arms. The second guy comes out and says: Great! I do have the longest legs. The third guy comes out pretty angry and says: WHO THE FUCK IS TOOL?!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA that's great!
