I was thinking, not neccessarily a good thing, but was thinking none-the-less. I think it would be nice if pariahs could get extra spells like the sorcerer. Here are my thoughts on this:
Pariah's Knowledge I - Requirements: No more than 3 levels in a class that's not barbarian or sorcerer. Only barbarian and sorcerer levels stack. - The pariah has a knowledge of spells and can choose one extra spell of any level below level 4.
Pariah's Knowledge II - Requirements: No more than 1 level in a class that's not barbariah or sorcerer. Only barbarian and sorcerer levels stack. - The pariah has a decent knowledge of spells and can choose one extra spell of any level below level 4, and one other spell below level 8, though this cannot be the same spell level (for example; you cannot choose two level 4 spells with this).
Pariah's Knowledge III - Requirements: The pariah in question can have NO splash classes at all, must be only barbarian and sorcerer levels. - The pariah has an extreme knowledge of spells and can choose one extra spell of any level below level 5, one spell below level 8, and one level 9 spell. Though the pariah cannot choose the same level spell (for example; the pariah cannot choose two level 5 spells, they must be different).
What do you guys think? Could we get more than just what I mentioned without hurting sorcerers or is this good? This was the weakest I could think of, it would help pariahs with spell selection. Make it a hell of a lot easier on us choosing spells (kinda).

I've suggested that Pariah's be able to take the Extra Spell Known feats before. I spent a lot of time making a build that used these feats only to find out when making him that I didn't meet the requirements. I'd love it if I could actually build him as I had originally planned.

Something like this, yeah. I think 3 extra spells in one feat is too much but I wouldn't object I'd just be happy to have the Extra Spell Known feats available to Pariahs.

It's not a feat. It's gained at level 40 once your class mix is done and you take your spells at 41.

Pariahs--IMHO--are already quite overpowered/broken. The top geared multi demi ones can just about solo most of the mod content...iirc it took one all of 45 minutes to solo the first 2 maps of Nessus...giving them more power would seem.....rather silly...
If anything they should probably get "balanced" to be more on par with other casters rather than being nearly unkillable elemental damage spamming bazookas.

KE. 45mins, was that way way back when you could do it all with just kb shields? Becides, first 2 maps of nessus are like easiest maps in game, only plain straight hack n' slash, first 2 maps of nessus are easier than first 2 maps in Dis if you ask my opinion for solo As for pariah's power, they definetly dont need more spells known, they trade the spells known for higher SP/DC than normal sorcs. What comes for survibility, sure pariah gets about 37% free physical immunity (30% stone bones, 5-8% half str mod from LL barb) and then there is regen, but no one stops normal sorc to drop 1 spell school, pick up autostills and go fullplate like pariahs do, would still hit over 80% phys imm with the gear i have on my pariah. Then we can always debate which is better, 2.4k hp + 200 regen/round or 900 hp + unlimited heal potions... when you are disabled the regen is better but other cases i think the heal pots are better. Ofcourse have to keep in mind that when regen works for healing, you dont have to waste time using potions, which means more spells to cast.

I think that was a long time ago when some Pariahs farmed Nessus to get PW rings. They relied on their physical kickback shield. Being KD'ed didn't disable it at that time (probably the reason it does disable it now).

You can still get extra spell known, just need more sorc levels. My own pariah was demied being 32 sorc/8barb, but you could also go 34barb/6barb, I even consider this the best kind of mixed damage/DC pariah as you can get more spells (and you can take extra spell known feats). Only problem is that the main pariah subrace isnt either FC: barb or sorc, so it does get xp penalty if you go Gnome Maelephant. You need a few tweaks to make the buid work thou. But with XP penalty is really bad if youre aiming at paragon levels :(

I would keep them as they are. Slightly OP, but that will change with the addition of new spells and critters.

I may have mis-remembered the time it took but it was recently-this year-watched in DM mode for awhile...iirc the PW chest was empty since it takes more than one person for hell set loot to spawn. I don't really think that allowing Pariah's to take the Extra Spell Known feat would be a bad idea. I don't think it's going to make them any more OP than they already are. IMO it will just bring greater build flexibility to a class that's pretty straightforward and limited as for which feats to pick. It's not like you get the Extra Spell Known feats for free. You can only take them in LL so you would have to sacrifice Great Constitution or a spell school, both of which can be argued as being more important than an extra spell.
The only way to get these feats on Pariah now is to make your CC Sorceress. But that results in losing 4 extra CON from LL Barb levels so it isn't really an option if you ask me. Perhaps there could be greater restrictions on these feats for Pariahs, such as allowing them only 1 extra spell of each level at the most.
