For those who aren't yet aware Netflix is increasing price by ~60%. Not entirely true only true if you want to keep what most people already have. I would like to keep what I have and am ok with $12/month price which the new price lowers to $10/month, I use Blu-rays so I pay an additional $2, but their streaming service is not worth $8/month. Hulu Plus is a better offering than Netflix Streaming and guess what it is also $8/month. I am now also looking into the company I thought would have died out in this market Blockbuster because for $12/month I get DVDs, Blu-rays, and Games by mail. They have not done well to advertise their game rental which would hurt Gamefly who charge $19/month last I checked just for game rentals. I could see this becoming an added feature for Blockbuster given it does have a higher cost potential for them. I have already decided to drop Netflix streaming service as soon as I'm done watching what is not left on my queue if I can finish it before Sept. 1st.

Thanks for the info. I have been debating whether or not to buy NFLX stock for the past year or so. Judging by people's reactions I think it will cause a sudden drop in the stock valuation, while ultimately being good for business. All that remains to be seen is whether or not their competitors have an advantage.

meh...dropped netflix months ago. Redbox and movies online are a far far better and more consumer-friendly deal imho.

Going to let it ride on Netflix... I don't really watch anything anyway... but I did run across a few TV shows that came and went, which I had never even heard of..
