I have one feat that I can play with on an open sub pure rogue (possibly -HC-). This is a mod of The1Kobra's Click build, so a Kobold Rogue Dex Tank.
My question is, would you go with Toughness or Shield Proficiency?

Toughnes is only 60 HP.
Shield Proficiency is a potential 17 AC.
Shield proficiency for sure.

well, there are certain items that give shield proficiency ( ring, boots and amulet - probably others I can't think of immediately), but without shield proficiency, it means that you will have to figure one of the three into your gear set-up. Personally, I'd go for shield proficiency and the possible 17 AC it brings.

Also, one thing I should point out, shortsword won't get the rogue opportunist/crippler strike bonuses on a small character. I'd swap the weapon of choice to dagger.
Also, with the shield, you may not need SC:V and may find IMPR sneak 5 to be more practical with the new rogue edits, but I'll leave that to your judgement.
