Levelled a Green Arrow build to 60 with Undying and was playing around trying to figure out what else could be done with it. I came up with an Erinyes build that is still 32 rogue/7 AA/ 1 wiz, and gets: - full OL/DT/Search - includes ESF: to OL and DT - ab fully buffed at 96 (i believe) - saves all at or around 60 - ac - not so much - Dev crit *
*Here is my question. I was chatting with KE as the server was resetting and he answered my question but I just want to confirm that having dev crit will not add anything to this build. Ie. sneak attack damage and dev crits will not coincide to add additional damage. Will there ever be a time that something is sneak attack immune but not immune to dev crit?
I admitt I don't fully understand the calcs for both under the crit system so if anyone can clarify would be great!
Cheers ddboy

I admitt I don't fully understand the calcs for both under the crit system so if anyone can clarify would be great! Cheers ddboy Sneak attack damage is not multiplied when a critical hit is confirmed, which means a build that relies heavily on sneak attack damage will gain less from the feat than say a build which relies more on weapon damage mods and strength modifier, which are multiplied and thus benefit from Devastating Criticals improved critical multiplier. Even if you score a critical hit, your sneak damage will be exactly the same amount of dice as if you scored a regular hit. That's not to say it would be entirely useless for your build, as you would deal respectable physical damage due to having 25+ base strength, but with so few arcane archer levels you will do considerably less damage using the db/hells bows as weapon mod damage, compared to a control class AA. It's probably not worth going dev crit in such a build to be honest, as the cost in feats and stat spread is huge. I would consider a pure rogue using a crossbow over a rogue cc aa, just as a suggestion, which is a build that really looks to maximise the benefits of ranged sneak attack damage, and has other associated benefits such as the ability to use a moliated guildmaster's glint, and the ability to bypass sneak immunity (which is huge).

Thanks, Excru.
I do have an AA ego on an amulet which adds 8d10 ele/exo damage when using the DB/Phleg bows, but it will still not match up to AA or pure rogue damage. It was a fun build and I wanted to try something different with it and make it viable. I may reinc to the rogue AA and try it out for the week and then flip to rogue or AA if it is putting out sad damage before the week is up.

Minor comment on the original Dev Crit considerations. The Green Arrow build presumes close range attacks (sneak attack range).
A confirmed critical works regardless of the distance involved.
