After the discussion in the BG turner thread, I wanted to figure out the max turning power, and therefore max charisma that is worth taking on a pure cleric turner. I recently took paragon feats on my level 80 pure turner cleric (double demi), and I took great charisma 9 & 10 to max out the charisma but after testing in hades under GR, here is what I found:
76 charisma + godswrath item = 80 TR 76 charisma (no godswrath item) = 80 TR 74 charisma (no godswrath item) = 80 TR 72 charisma (no godswrath item) = 80 TR
I didn't test without +12 item on, but from what I see there is no point in taking the extra great charisma feats as they do nothing to improve TR. This would free up some versatility in the build if I only had to take up to great charisma 6, such as opening up blooded or bullheaded, taking more domains, or splashing palladin or blackguard for saves/turning good aligned creatures.
I thought I remembered that godswrath items don't affect TR due to how easy it was to max out but instead it affected the number of enemies that can be turned? Can someone confirm?
What is the highest destruction TR that is currently in place?
Thanks

Charisma doesn't increase TR (Turn Resistance), it increases Destruction/Turning DC and the total TR value of enemies you can turn at the same time. - DC: (Turner Level / 4) + (Charisma Modifier) + 1/2 (Huge/Medium range) - Total TR value: (Turner Level + Charisma Modifier) x3
The maximum TR is based on Turner Level and domains: - Undead: TL + 1 per 2 LL with Sun domain: 70 - Vermin: TL + 1 per 4 LL with Plant domain: 65 - Elemental: TL + 1 per 4 LL with any elemental domain: 65 - Outsider: TL + 1 per LL with Good/Evil domain: 80
This assuming Planar Turning and pure cleric.
